I feel like pheromone products are like melatonin - they work for some and not others. What I liked about this product is it didn’t require a plug. The outlet based products require an outlet but that means they aren't always in the best spot. This also looks really nice - the glass bottle is sturdy and looks nice with any style of house. Its also super easy to set up! I am not sure if it really helped my cats - I still have an agressive bully who goes after my scaredy cat but I don't think pheromones in general work for my specific cats. If your cats have reacted well to pheromones previously, this is a great option for you to cover areas that are hard to get to with plug in options.

Was very excited to try this new product being the well known pheromone calming diffuser is a plug-in. It has a nice look and super easy to set-up. Was surprised a logo is very prominent on the glass but one side is clear to match the product photo on the box. As long as you can place it against a wall, you won’t see it. By day two the bedroom had the scent of the diffuser. I had hoped it would not be that strong and I’m sure over time it will lessen. A little strong for us though. Although I don’t love the plug-in, I believe the scent is less. As for the effectiveness, too early to tell. One other concern is that you need to have it high enough so your feline friend won’t be able to reach it.

I placed the calming diffuser in my feral senior kitty's favorite room the evening befor I took him to the vet. he seemed far less stressed when we deaded out to see the vet the next day. I'd recommend this product for any cat caregiver with a high stress kitty. We share a home with 2 cats, both feral, and we've ordered pet suppilie from Chewy's from the get go. Hello, Boomer here. My mom ordered this thing and I didn't understand why mom was putting stucks in a jar with water. She said it was to calm me down. Mom put it on a table Im not allowed to be on. So, I get as close as I can to it and I like to lay and sleep near it. I dont know what those sticks are but they do help me sleep and I get less zoomies. Mom can't smell the water at all. The jar and sticks look good enough for mom to keep out when company come over and I like taking my naps.

New Option for a cat diffuser

We enjoyed trying this as we have used plug in diffusers before to calm cats. I liked this option better and appreciated its design. We used it in the living room

We enjoyed trying this as we have used plug in diffusers before to calm cats. I liked this option better and appreciated its design. We used it in the living room on the coffee table which is also the area that we feed 5/6 of our cats in. I think it definitely helps keep the peace. We have had it out almost a month and it has not all evaporated yet so I like that it will also last a while.

Inconclusive results

I used the diffuser in my living room where both cats spend a significant amount of time. For the most part they do get along but there is a big age difference

I used the diffuser in my living room where both cats spend a significant amount of time. For the most part they do get along but there is a big age difference and there are times where the younger cat’s need to play is more than my older cat will tolerate. It is hard to tell if the product worked. I haven’t had issues with the cat’s behavior but with most of these calming products they seem to work for the areas they are in only. I can’t say the product works or doesn’t. Perhaps if there is a more significant issue in the home it may be more noticeable but I would advise on one per room to really tell if there is a difference.

I found Secure Cat Home Calming Stick Diffuser to be a wonderful option for calming my cats. I also use the plugin version but am using the stick diffuser in addition. I can conveniently move it to any location which is very helpful. We are a cat household and have been doing rescue for many years, so this is by far a perfect way to calm a new cat at any location in our home and so easy to use. I also like the fact that a refill kit is available.

Charlie is our “problem child” who tries to dominate a much larger cat and for years we’ve had to separate him from our calico bc he literally terrorized her. Things have calmed down a bit prior to receiving this product, but what I have noticed is Charlie isn’t quite as nasty when the calico lies by my head while he is on my lap. Coincidence or is this product making a difference? Not quite sure. Worth a shot tho!
