It is recommended to feed adult cats 3 portions per 5 lbs of body weight twice daily. Feed pregnant and nursing cats 2 - 3 times their normal amount. Feed a kitten up to 5 portions twice daily.

Cat keeps vomiting from this food

I slowly switched one of my cats back to Sheba by mixing it with his current food because he stopped eating what I have been giving him for the past year, or so. Since Sheba used to be what he ate in the past with no issues, I wasn’t really concerned that he would have any problems with it. To be safe, I started with a small case when mixing it with the old food, then ordered 1 large case and now 2 additional to keep it stocked up. Big mistake. Now that he’s fully switched to Sheba, every time he eats it, he vomits all of it up within 5 minutes. He loves the Sheba, but I can’t feed it to him anymore. I will be calling Chewy to return.

Cats love it, and I love the convenience

Most important issue is the cats (2 indoor, 1 barn) all love the Sheba flavors. They are good water drinkers, but I still appreciate the gravy giving them a bit more hydration. The separate portion segments are a brilliant idea. I can split a small can of wet food for the indoor cats, but the barn cat would need the extra half of his placed in fridge until next feeding. Not only inconvenient, but he doesn’t like the cold food. The peel-off strips are usually very easy to remove. I deducted 1 star as several times lately, when I disconnect the two portions for the barn cat, the strip doesn’t rip cleanly down the middle. Instead it pulls across both portions, opening the one I want to save for later. So that portion now needs to go in fridge, and cat won’t like it cold. So, 4 well deserved stars

This is the only food he’s interested in and I love that it’s grain free. We have far fewer instances of vomiting and hair balls. This food keeps his coat healthy, eyes bright, and his little heart happy. My only complaints are that it smells bad (not like “rotten” bad, just stinky) and that he is constantly begging for another portion! When he doesn’t get it in what he feels is a timely manner, he tries to trip me to get my attention! Lol
