Good size, welcoming to the pet, easy to use
By Jinny on Dec 31, 2020
I bought this carrier for vet transport at the animal shelter I work in. We have several cats that are very difficult to transport in the kind that are only front loading, which can make it traumatic for the animal and the volunteer. I did a lot of shopping and comparing before buying this one. I used it for the first time today to bring a cat that wasn’t socialized to the vet. Every time he went to the vet before he had to be forcibly shoved into the carrier and put completely out before the vet could treat him. This time (I was considering putting catnip on the pad but didn’t) I put the carrier on the floor in his pen. He spent a while sniffing it. I had already unzipped the top before I bought this carrier for vet transport at the animal shelter I work in. I had already unzipped the top before placing on his floor and just quietly picked him up and loaded him in feet first. He didn’t growl, hiss or anything. Once at the vet they reported he was a good boy and were able to treat the problem with his ears without any issues. I do prefer the softness of this carrier over a top loader made of hard plastic. The hard ones are good for the shelter because they are easier to sanitize for the next pet. Since I decided, however, to keep this one at home to clean thoroughly myself it was the best choice simply because it was soft. No worries about hurting the animal if it hit the frame due to squirming. If you are considering this carrier I believe you will satisfied with your purchase. … more

Excellent buy!
By CatmotherNYC on Jan 5, 2021
I needed a larger carrier for my part-Maine coon cat. I wanted quality and comfort for him. This particular model fits the bill nicely. It is somewhat easier to get the ornery fellow inside when I have to take him to the vet, He and my other cat sleep in their carriers which I leave open in closets, but we all know what happens when it's time to zip it up. Despite their dismay at those times, this is a very good choice as carriers go and expect to have it for a long time. I recommend it.

Best carrier ever
By barbie on Dec 30, 2020
We have had cats as pets for almost 50 years. Taking them to the vet was and continues to be an ordeal because they fight getting in the plastic carriers with the side entrance. This carrier has a top entry point, which is perfect for gently getting an otherwise resisting cat situated inside. We have one of these carriers already, so when it became important for us to take more than one cat to the vet, we knew the only solution was to buy another one. You cannot go wrong with purchasing one of these carriers.

love this cat carrier!
By ShayShay on Dec 12, 2020
My sister purchased one of these and let me borrow it recently. I have so much anxiety about getting my cat into a carrier that I usually schedule an afternoon appt with vet so I have all morning to trick my cat into going in. I used to have a harder plastic carrier...I LOVE THIS ONE! So easy to get cat in and out..like the vents on the front and sides so cat can see me when in the car. I highly recommend it!

Love the Sherpa Bag
By Louie on Jan 10, 2021
The Sherpa bag is fabulous! I’m using it to train my puppy for long car rides, I carry it in stores, and use for trips to the vet. In the past when flying I borrowed a friend’s Sherpa bag. I’m so glad I now own my own bag and my puppy loves traveling in it.

Fantastic Carrier for a cat
By Lulu on Dec 30, 2020
Cats tend to not like a place unless it is their choice. However, my spoiled senior cat loves this carrier from day 1. I think it helps them feel secure and they can exercise their curiosity since they are able to view everything. My Flaco loves it.

Only flexible on one end
By CindyR on Jan 23, 2021
In case you're thinking this will compress on both ends to assist in fitting under lower airline seats, it only compresses on one end. It doesn't say that in the description.

Great carrier and terrific service
By Boots on Nov 27, 2020
I was looking for a soft carrier for our 12++ lb cat who is afraid of everything. None of our local pet supply stores had any so I decided to try Chewy for the first time. The delivery time was so quick I was really shocked. Carrier exactly what I needed -- so great I bought a second one for our other cat. You run a very, very good and helpful company. THANK YOU!!

Nice quality.
By Momma on Dec 22, 2020
Sturdy. However, shoulder strap needs more supportive cushion. Strap quality doesnt live up to carrier quality. Also the top opening would be better if my puppy could see through it.

The carry-on carrier was perfect for our new 9 week old Cockapoo to travel via American Airlines to her new home.
