Are buckles metal or steel or just plastic?

They are plastic, but durable. My dog who has broken plastic buckled harnesses 3 times has not broken this one. I've had it for 2 or 3 years and the thread started coming apart on the seam on the solid fabric part, but the buckles have stayed intact.

Is the harness crash tested?

How do you adjust the strap that goes around the neck?

Size Adjustment

Very nice; looks pretty well thought out and with good construction. But on my young German Shepherd, the chest is almost all the out (almost as big as it can go)

This product is easy to use and attach into your seat belt. It gives your dog some movement and the ability to lie down. My puppy got it wrapped around one foot

Not well sized

Bought size M for my 45 lb cattle dog mix. Had to cinch it up nearly all the way on the rear straps and to it's smallest size on the front straps and it's still

Perfect fit and design

My dogs have never been restrained in my car before, and thankfully they immediately adapted. The harnesses were true to their described size and fit well. They appear to be very durable and comfortable and allow for a seatbelt to attach to two places at once (between shoulder blades and mid-back) for maximum protection in a way that's least likely to hurt them in a crash. Also comes with a seat belt that locks into the car's existing seatbelt receptacle. (I use that plus one that attaches from behind and connects to the headrest).

Still too much free rein

Even on the shortest length my dog has too much freedom. Also the harness while lightweight picks up a ton of hair. Would be great in a canvas sort of material
