Birds don't like it

These are supposed to be more nutritious but the wild birds don't eat them. They love meal worms but they drop the BSFL on the ground for the squirrels who'll eat

A healthy treat for The Ladies

I broadcast the grubs about their yard, so they hunt and peck to their delight. Letting them free range is not an option, so these grubs fill a bit of a void.

I broadcast the grubs about their yard, so they hunt and peck to their delight. Letting them free range is not an option, so these grubs fill a bit of a void. The grubs appear to be fresh and substantial, not light weight and apt to be dusty. Am satisfied offering them to my girls.

Good product, but got moldy

Liner doesn't provide good moister barrier. Was in closed shed. Never opened and still got moldy

1.5lbs grub, 0.5lb of box

Not pleased. Quality of the grubs is fine. Chickens like it well enough. But it's false advertising on the weight. It comes out to only 1.5lbs of grubs and 0.5lbs

hens: yes. bluebirds: no.

I was hoping the bluebirds would like these as much as they like mealworms, but they very much do not. If I mixed the two together, all the mealworms would be gone

I was hoping the bluebirds would like these as much as they like mealworms, but they very much do not. If I mixed the two together, all the mealworms would be gone and these would be left in the tray. To be fair, the "grub bugs" are advertised for poultry, and my hens think they are fantastic! So I'm giving them a full 5 review. And I like the simple, recyclable packaging, also.

This is a pretty big box

I hesitated to buy these because it's a pretty pricey thing for my chickens who stopped laying a year ago and are now "just pets." But it's winter and they can't

I hesitated to buy these because it's a pretty pricey thing for my chickens who stopped laying a year ago and are now "just pets." But it's winter and they can't forage for "fun bugs," so I splurged. I'm so glad I did! They love them, and there are a lot more than I thought, so my opinion of the price has changed. It's pretty easy for me to give my chickens leftovers and they love whatever I give them, but this is a great was for them to continue "hunting and scratching in their winter chicken run for goodies. I bought three boxes and they will last me for months.
