DOES ITS JOB BUT HAS ITS DRAWBACKS. Rating is a 3 1/2.

I have had this mat a couple of years. It does slide around but I put it down horizontally and put the back edge under the littler box and put a smaller different kind of mat on top of it in front of the litter box. It catches the litter pretty well. I like the big size of it. It isn't Real easy to clean. I use the wand on my vacuum to get some of litter off and then fold it and take it outside and Shake. Not every little piece of litter comes off but honestly that doesn't bother me that much. It is just going to get litter on it again. If it had a non-slip backing on it it would be so much better. Would I recommend it? Maybe.

Best mat EVER

We have the XL mat size under the litter boxes. I shake it outside and spray it with a hose if needed. Dries quickly and ready to reuse. I use it in our foster cat room, and I'm purchasing another for our resident cats too.

Curtails tracking

It has cut down on litter tracked. Easy to maintain -- fold before picking up to keep litter contained in the mat, shake out in litter box and it's again ready for service.

Contains the mess

It's keeps the kitty litter from tracking past the boxes like a dream. It's amazing. Like other reviewers have said it is hard to empty. We sliced the top layer of mesh away from the edging in one corner, not a huge flap, just a neat gap, and that make it much easier to empty.

too flimsy

I thought I would love this for my foster cats since it's machine washable. But it's too flimsy and doesn't stay flat and kittens love to play in the crinkled folds. A few times a cat has actually dragged the mat into the litterbox and did their business on top of it.

Wonderful!

Love this. It hasn't gotten rid of all the litter off of the floor, but probably about 75% of it is on this mat instead.

I bought two of these mats with high expectations of them helping with my litter box woes. There’s nothing to help these mats stay in place so they slid and bunched up easily. It is impossible to get the litter that is trapped in the mat out. I tried so hard to clean them and once that litter gets wet it turns to slag in between the two layers. They were a great disappointment. The product could be improved if they had it zippered on one side so you could open it up and truly clean the mat. They also need to design them with a slide resistant bottom. After one frustrating use I had to order new mats. They were a complete waste of my money and probably the worst product I’ve ever bought from Chewy.

Not a winner

The one star is for the size. It is a great size. But you can't dump the trapped litter without shaking and making a mess. The ideal design is the type that is stiffer, and you just pour the trapped litter back into the litter box. Hopefully Chewy will replenish their stock soon on the really good litter mat.

Impossible to clean!!!!

We bought this product. The size was great. Tried to shake it out litter stays trapped inside matt. There should be a zipper or some way to get it out. If cat misses the box is get wet inside then impossible to clean out.
