Can this mat be swept with a small broom?

no, it would have to be vacuumed to get the litter out properly. I shook mine out and hosed it down and there were still litter pieces coming out after it dried

Can this mat be cut to size with a pair of scissors? I would love to fit it in a corner of my home and cut out a small square of the mat to make it conform to the corner of the bathroom counter

Yes. I recommend that you cut slits and permit the Matt to run up the molding rather than cut a square out.

Are there any identifying numbers? What size is the xtra large mat?

The Large litter mat measures 35 x 24 x 0.3 inches and the X-Large litter mat measures 47 x 31 x 0.3 inches (length x width x height).

If my cat misses box and pees will this catch pee? Does it have edges?

Large, but does NOT stand up to cats who bite

One of our cats, Ernie, loves biting and has a hatred of many things plastic. He's a bit over 1 year old, so we're beyond his teething phase. Thus, we need to factor this in for anything we have around the house. However, we've got another 2 litter mats like this, so I didn't think this would be a problem. Ah, the ignorance of earlier today. I unpacked the box, left this out for about 2 hours, and by the time I came back, he'd thoroughly demolished 2 sides of the mat. :( So if you've also got a Bitey McBiterson in your life, I'd give this mat a pass. We might be able to get some use out of this mat once we cut the damaged half away? If our own Bitey leaves this alone now that it's out of the delicious and tempting wrapping plastic, I'll update this review. But since Ernie _kept_ destroying the mat once he was through the wrapper and to the delicious center, I've got my doubts.

Kittens chewed it up/hard to clean

I have two kittens so two litter boxes, the mat is a good size. Litter gets trapped for sure, but it can be hard to clean to completely get rid of litter stuck

I have two kittens so two litter boxes, the mat is a good size. Litter gets trapped for sure, but it can be hard to clean to completely get rid of litter stuck. Unfortunately, my kittens chewed up multiple holes, thankfully didn’t eat it, but not a fan of the material for this reason. Maybe this works better for adult cats, but definitely not for kittens. It’s decent, for its price I guess.

This is my favorite litter mat. The size is perfect - I use this mat for the litter box that is in the cat room's closet turned bathroom. It lines the whole closet floor with the box sitting right on top. When doing a full cleaning the mat can be lifted and shook out into the trash, and when doing daily scoop outs, I can run the small stick vacuum and it picks up like a charm.

I bought this litter mat from chewy a year ago and when I realized how good and affected it was and I bought new carpets. I went and bought two others for my other litter box. The small is very large in my opinion and worked perfect for my situation. It traps the litter very well and when you change the litter, it’s very to just roll it and shake out any crumbs back into the litter box. This was a win-win for me, especially because the price at Chewy was very good!

Messy But Decent

I recently had to upgrade my kitten’s litter box to a closed one with a lid because she flings litter everywhere. This mat was a perfect size for the new litter box, which I liked. And it catches a decent amount of the litter she tracks everywhere. On the other hand, it’s hard to get the litter out of the mat once it’s in because of the weird crevices in its design. Also, I don’t think it’s catching as much litter as it should because I still find way too much litter on my floor rather than on the mat. I mean, it works, but not really well, and I’m not a fan of the material or the design.
