I know the description says these are digestible but are they actually safe? The way they break/splinter is concerning.

These natural bones are completely digestible and perfectly safe, however to prevent injury and choking hazard, please watch your pet while they enjoy this treat. It's recommended that if these bones splinters or develops sharp edges, throw it away immediately for your pet’s safety.

Big Bones

So they are big and I thought oh that would last my dogs a while. Wrong! They ate them completely within 3 hrs. Now they were very entertained for those 3 hrs, but

So they are big and I thought oh that would last my dogs a while. Wrong! They ate them completely within 3 hrs. Now they were very entertained for those 3 hrs, but then they both puked bone shards and their poop was white for 2-3 days. Cooper wouldn't eat his dinner the day he ate them and the next. Will not get again.

Finally, a long lasting chew that isn't rawhide. The dogs love them. I will say that they splinter, but they are easily digested by the dogs. They do have some fat on them, so avoid giving to dogs on carpet or stainable flooring. No nasty odors. Come wrapped individually.

Messy and will splinter!

After consulting with my vet, I decided it was safe to give my five month old Doberman puppy bones. She said it was unlikely that Scout could chew them in a way that would cause them to shatter, or that it would be too hard for her. Scout has been chewing one of these bones for hours at a time with no signs of cracking or breaking. In general, it can be safe for dogs to chew on bones, and I think these ones aren’t particularly dangerous.
