Does this come with a safety fastener inside to keep your dog in the seat

What’s the interior measurements of the small? Thank you.

The outside measurements for the Small are 15 inches long x 9 inches wide x 7 inches high and the inside measurements are 13 inches long x 7 inches wide x 5 inches high. The outside measurements for the Large are 19 inches long x 12 inches wide x 7 inches high and the inside measurements are 16 inches long x 9 inches wide x 4 inches high.

How does this attach to the console?

To install, open the containment straps and remove them from the safety strap loops. Thread it between the upper seat cushion and lower seat cushion on both the driver and passenger seats adjacent to the console. Place the seat on the console with the Safety Strap to the back end and the front strap facing forward. Lift the console lid and wrap the single front strap under the lid and tighten. Next, open the Containment Straps previously installed and reattach them to the Safety Strap loops on the underside of the seat. Adjust the straps to tighten the seat to the console. Once the seat is in place, the clasp on the Safety Strap is attached to your pet by their harness.

Does this work with a double opening console?

This car seat will not work on double, sliding, or rolling console lids. It is only made for consoles that lift up.

Not Sturdy Enough

This seat is entirely foam. No solid bottom is there, so the security strap that holds to the dogs harness would likely just pull loose from the foam over time!

My dog loves the padding and the comfort!!

It fits on my car console.

Buckley, a chiweenie, could sit next to me without sliding off console and he could lay down, prop up his chin and watch where he was traveling.

Inside smaller than expected for a large

The inside is smaller than expected and the straps don’t stay in place by themselves. Had to make modifications in order for it to work. We used it in a Ram 1500
