My dog loves this center console seat!

I have a less than 10 lb Shih Tzu, and since she now has a secure seat on the console right next to me and she's also up high enough to see the scenery, etc., she

I have a less than 10 lb Shih Tzu, and since she now has a secure seat on the console right next to me and she's also up high enough to see the scenery, etc., she can't wait to go for a ride! I would recommend this item for especially a small dog, and it's also tricky to order console seats because the sizing isn't accurate sometimes. I had to order twice to get a seat that works on the console. This item is only intended for a very small dog. Also I have a Prius, where the console tends to be smaller than the average car.

This console seat is so well made and extremely well thought out. The foam inside is sturdy, and the removable cover is high quality. What I value most is that the setup is such that your dog is attached with a tether connected to the straps that go around the lower back of your seat, rather than just a sewn-in strap that can easily tear or pull out. It seems much safer for our dog than most of the seats that I've seen, and he loves riding in it.

But the fact that this one sits on the console (allowing her to touch me, if necessary) AND is fairly snug and cozy seems to be the right combo for us. Straps are strong, seat is stable, harness allows turning around, but not slithering out.
