The bed we just ordered is the 5th of these that we have owned. Sadly, they no longer make this bed in an XXL size, so this will be my last Snoozer bed. We have Alaskan Malamutes. One of them is 145 pounds and just can't fit in this smaller XL size in a way that is comfortable for him. He'll continually get into the bed, circle over and over, then plop down. But he'll only stay in the bed for a few minutes where he used to chill out for hours in his older, XXL bed. The smaller size means he has to curl up when he's in the bed instead of sprawl on his side, so he overheats when he's sleeping in the bed. I've tried open beds, but he loves the enclosed bolsters of his "couch," which make the bed a cozy nest and provide pillows for his head if he chooses. I'm very sad that I spent so much money on a bed that just isn't going to work for him, but I'm sure our other Malamute will use this come winter. She's 110 pounds and just enough smaller that she'll fit better in the bed. But, until air conditioning season is over, her "bed" is directly on top of the AC duct in our living room. I still rated this 4 stars though - just took off one star for the lack of the XXL size option. This is a great bed as long as you don't have a dog over 130 pounds or one that is very tall and long in the body (your Great Dane or Irish Wolfhound will absolutely not like this bed). It's cozy and soft, and dogs really seem to love it. It's not easy to take apart to clean, but, as long as you vacuum it regularly, you really only need to wash it 1-2 times a year. We've always had two of these in corners of our dining room and would see the dogs in them all the time. They loved those beds! I first bought them for our previous pair of Malamutes, and they wore them out. So, I bought two new beds for this next pair. They're 7 years old now and have been using them since they got old enough that I could trust them not to use the beds for chew toys (about 2 years old). So, do I recommend the bed? Yes, I do, especially for dogs up to 100 pounds who love to snuggle. But, if you have a giant dog or one that is in the 100-150 pound range and muscular (like Malamutes), you'll likely want to look elsewhere for a bed. That's what I'm going to need to do, and I'm not looking forward to it.
