Save your floors and furniture with Soft Claws Cat Nail Caps. A safe and pain-free alternative to declawing, Soft Claws works by simply capping your cat’s claws with a vinyl cover. It applies easily with a safe and non-toxic adhesive, and will not interfere with the normal extension and retraction of their nails—which means even the fussiest kitty won’t mind wearing them. So your cat can go about his routine of pawing and playing, and you don’t have to worry about unwanted scratches. Easy to apply and long lasting, it’s made right here in the USA.

Instructions
How to Apply Soft Paws®
For Kittens: Do not trim kittens' claws before applying Soft Paws. You will need sufficient claw surface for the glue to adhere properly.
Trim the tip of your cat's nails. Trim just enough to allow the nail cap to fit all the way to the base of the nail. Watch a video tutorial here.
Fill nail caps 1/3 full with adhesive. Gently squeeze the nail cap to evenly distribute the glue and release any air bubbles. If the glue oozes out of the nail cap, you have inserted too much adhesive. Remove some of the glue by squeezing it onto a paper towel.
Extend nails by gently pressing thumb on top with index finger on bottom of paw -- slide nail caps onto nail.
Observe cat for five minutes before release. You can play with your cat or feed some of kitty's favorite food to distract for a few minutes.

How to remove the caps? My cat doesn't like them very much.
Answer by • Jun 09, 2018
If your cat or dog's nail caps do not fall off by 8 weeks you will want to manually remove them by simply trimming the tip of the nail cap, being careful not to cut into the quick, and then applying slight pressure to the base of the nail cap as if massaging it.
How long do these last on the cats nails for And were would I get the type of glue for it and how do I glue it on to the cat

Each application lasts four to six weeks, and each kit comes with a four to six-month supply. It features an easy application with a safe and non-toxic glue which is included. The glue is placed within the Cap and then placed over the cats nails.
Will my cats be able to comfortably stretch their muscles on their scratching post with these on? It's important for their mental and physical health to be able to do that. I see them stretch out their arms scratching all the time when I pet them.

These nail caps will not interfere with normal claw extension and retraction.
can my cat still go outside and resume normal activities? He's a very good kitty and but doesn't have patience with my 9 month old and continues to scratch him.
Answer by • Jun 10, 2021
It is recommended that Soft Paws only be applied to cats who live indoors for the safety of the cat. The vinyl nail caps help prevent the scratching damage that is caused by the cats’ claw, but also reduce their ability to defend themselves. When a cat is outdoors, he/she may be faced with a predator and the capped nails will impair his/her ability to defend themselves.
My more aggressive male took them off in a little bit of no time. My more passive female continues to wear them. Neither of them were happy with me putting them on, but the female forgot about them pretty quickly. Thing is, they can still scratch, if they choose to.

Good and more glue and spouts needed
They fit and are easy to put on. There isn't enough glue and spouts if you have multiple replacing one or two at a time. Maybe you can improve on this please.

Excellent invention!
While trying to introduce a new cat into an established 3 cat home, one of the established cats absolutely hated the new cat, to the point of cornering him and attacking him with her claws. Well my neighbor, another cat lover told me about the soft claws so it turned out to be a real lifesaver, she can no longer scratch the new cat or the furniture or do damage to anything. But she can still do everything else she’s always been able to do. He claws are now soft but still retract and do not affect her quality of life one little bit. I’m so grateful for this perfect solution to a stressful problem. Problem solved, no more separatin
