Save your floors and furniture with Soft Claws Nail Caps for Cats. A safe and pain-free alternative to declawing, Soft Claws works by simply capping your cat’s claws with a vinyl cover. It applies easily with a safe and non-toxic adhesive, and will not interfere with the normal extension and retraction of their nails—which means even the fussiest kitty won’t mind wearing them. So your cat can go about his routine of pawing and playing, and you don’t have to worry about unwanted scratches. Easy to apply and long lasting, it’s made right here in the USA.
Developed by a veterinarian as a non-surgical declaw alternative and made in the USA.
Vinyl caps cover nails and protect against destructive scratching. Easy application with a safe and non-toxic glue.
Cleat Lock System features a series of self-locking cleats for an improved grip, and the Soft Cuff design fits snugly around the nail.
Choose from a variety of colors to match your cat’s personality. Does not interfere with normal claw extension and retraction.
Each application lasts four to six weeks, and each kit comes with a four to six-month supply.
For Kittens: Do not trim kittens' claws before applying Soft Paws. You will need sufficient claw surface for the glue to adhere properly.
Trim the tip of your cat's nails. Trim just enough to allow the nail cap to fit all the way to the base of the nail. Watch a video tutorial here.
Fill nail caps 1/3 full with adhesive. Gently squeeze the nail cap to evenly distribute the glue and release any air bubbles. If the glue oozes out of the nail cap, you have inserted too much adhesive. Remove some of the glue by squeezing it onto a paper towel.
Extend nails by gently pressing thumb on top with index finger on bottom of paw -- slide nail caps onto nail.
Observe cat for five minutes before release. You can play with your cat or feed some of kitty's favorite food to distract for a few minutes.
I was concerned initially that putting the Soft Claws on my cats would cause them to have litter box use issues. They are very sensitive about their litter and their paws. However, no issues have occurred! Also, they are still able to scratch at their scratching posts and stretch out. The caps were super easy to put on. I distracted them with some wet food and put the caps on by myself in under 15 minutes. It does take some patience and getting your timing right is key (fill the cap with glue, hold cap in dominant hand, lift paw with other hand, find claw, push cap on, let cat eat a bit more, fill next cap, etc) I'm very happy with the results! My cat Dyno is 8 years old and 12pounds I ordered in the large size. I got the caps because he likes to get a lot of attention and his claws scratch me not on purpose but ever sense I put the caps on no more scratches. It does not bother him which is nice but I do recommend when first putting them on have some one help you its hard doing the process by yourself the first time I also had to trim just a little but not enough were I need to go a size down. if you want your body or even your furniture saved I would recommend this product I will be ordering more when needed

I didnt want my relationship with the new kitten to be 99% me saying no dont no stop no , etc, so I gave these claw caps a try. as anyone with a tiny kitten knows, they not only scratch things, they climb things. it did take 2 determined adults and a towel to get these on the two pound monster, but since then, we've had nothing but enjoyable interactions with her. I reccomend them if you are sick of saying "no" thousands of times a day. she comes to us constantly now- we are back to being g the good guys, and no damage to curtains or furniture. she completely ignores the claw caps.
Works great with a couple exceptions

They keep furniture and people scratch free, but I find myself replacing them quite often, at least one a day.
The 40 pack won't last long at this rate. Also, my cat has gotten Hung on the carpeted cat scratcher twice. I had to put it out of sight. It was hung so deep that I had to cut the a big swatch out of the carpet. However, I will keep using them because it's better than declawing, which it out of the question.

This was the first time I have ever attempted to put on claw caps and I was surprised at how easy it was to do!
Shipping was very fast and the price was fair! I found this exact product at the pet store for almost double the price. Great idea and great investment.

The cat claw tips are amazing. Such a better way to maintain our household items from being torn up by kitty claws than having her declawed. And so much cheaper than declawing our little princess. They are stylish and help her from scratching the kids as she is a playful girl as well. Going to continue buying from chewy. Quick delivery and never a bad product.

My bully kitty kept attacking my scaredy cat and injuring him, so I needed a quick solution. These work and last quite a while (about 5 weeks before beginning to fall off). Only problem is they are a little tricky to get on a cat that does not want them on at all.
Love this product

Love these they definitely work! I would definitely recommend to others that want to protect furniture or even yourself. Our kitten doesn't even mess with them. It also helps protect our dogs . I cant be certain it will be easy to put on all cats but kittens are easy.

For the most part these seemed like they would work well, but I had a hard time getting them on my kitten and then to stay on. He didn't bite them, but when he kept trying to scratch things I think they got easier to pull off. I think they will work really well when I figure out how much glue is right.

I adopted a cat that had been a stray and he is quite rambunctious, including clawing me. I ordered this product on the advice of a relative who had a similar problem. I was worried about putting the nail caps on my cat, so I took him to the vet. They trimmed his nails and put them on and said he was cooperative. He doesn't even seem to notice them being there and now his clawing is harmless.
