It’s very soft, lots of moisture, though it doesn’t look appetizing, it doesn’t matter to me, as I won’t be the one eating it. So if you have picky eater, give this one a try.

My Cats Love This Food!

My three cats LOVE this food. One is 3.5, one is 7, and the third is 17 years old and they all loved in immediately, which is somewhat surprising as they can be

My three cats LOVE this food. One is 3.5, one is 7, and the third is 17 years old and they all loved in immediately, which is somewhat surprising as they can be rather choosy. I used it combined with some of their other food and it was a big hit. It has a gravy consistency and they like to lap it up. They seem to like it more than the typical "pate" format cat food that is so prevalent. I like that it provides extra hydration. One of my cats in particular doesn't typically drink enough water (he wouldn't drink out of a water bowl for a LONG time, but now does) so that's a welcome plus. It's also grain-free with no artificial colors or preservatives. I'm always cautious about adding something new for them but this one has caused no changes in digestion, another plus. It's been a big hit for them and me. This food contains not just duck, but salmon as well, another nice benefit for their health. It's also made with cage-free duck and wild-caught fish, something I care about.

This flavor is a complete hit with all three of my cats. My youngest absolutely begs for this as her meal. I have never seen her so excited to eat any flavor of cat food from any brand before. I am enthused that she loves it so much. My other two devour it as well. The texture is a fine mince with lots of gravy. It does smell very strong with tuna scent, be warned. The cans and food bowls need a good rinse as soon as they are no longer being used. I absolutely recommend the product. My cats can't get enough of it. My only issue is that the size of the can is slightly too large for my small can lids. It is so hard to get them on this can and they fit on others perfectly fine.

I usually feed my cat common off-the-shelf brands of food which, honestly, he doesn’t get very excited about and seems to tire of quickly. Considering cats are obligate carnivores and must have animal-based protein to meet their nutritional needs, I always try to find food that provides as close as possible to their natural diet. My efforts have resulted in a shelf of healthy cat food that he simply will not eat. So, when given the opportunity to try Soulistic, I thought why not. I am so glad that I did! Marlowe loves it! We got the Moist and Tender Duck Dinner in Gravy. It has the consistency and taste he’s crazy about, and ingredients I’m crazy about. Duck Dinner includes high-quality meat (duck) and fish (tuna) that’s grain and GMO-free with no artificial additives or fillers, plus an impressive list of vitamin supplements. It’s a stew with 81% moisture (duck broth, not water) to help him stay hydrated and 10% protein. I would recommend trying Soulistic as a species-appropriate, healthy reasonably priced cat food.

This is the first time my cat has tried any duck meat cat food so I had no idea how she would react to it. My cat really likes Soulistic Duck Dinner. She wasted no time lapping it up at both room temperature and out of the fridge. The consistency of this cat food is extremely soupy. It does however firm up somewhat after refrigeration but still has a very mushy texture. The meat present is finely minced in a ton of gravy, not in chunks or sliced pieces. This wet cat food is an easy way to incorporate more moisture into your cat's diet. Any cat, young or old, should be easily able eat this wet cat food. I've fed it to Skittles for several days now and she's still enthusiastically eating it with gusto. Who knew? Apparently, cats love duck.

However with this one, only one out of four cats at the "meat" after they lapped up the gravy. The others would not touch it, but cats are finicky any way and maybe they just didn't like this duck.

I have two very particular cats, and this food has officially passed their clean-plate test! They absolutely love that it’s more sauce than chunks, the gravy is rich and smells flavorful, and even my pickiest eater dives right in. The small, tender meat pieces are just the right size for them to enjoy without any struggle. I’ve also noticed the aroma is mild but appetizing, which gets them running to their bowls the second I open the can. Every serving has been completely devoured, and I’ve never seen them this excited for mealtime! If your cats love saucy textures and smooth bites, this one’s a winner.

I will start by saying i’m sure some cats will love this. My cat is not one of them. It’s a good ingredient list and is a decent amount in the can but the consistency he didn’t seem to find of. He only likes the chunks of food in gravy so i was very excited but this was more just all one consistency like it all got blended together and i’ve tried 3 separate times and he eats a tiny bit and that’s it. I would give it 5 stars but since he didn’t like it i must drop a star.

I tried this because one of my cats only licks her canned food, and leaves the actual food. The Solistic moist and tender was extremely juicy and moist. My kitty liked the flavor, and was forced to eat it. It was a little soupy , but with enough meat that it was nutricious. It did take a few tries for Jane to warm up to the new food, but now t is part of her diet.
