Are any of the ingredients from China or outside the USA?

All Blue Buffalo products are manufactured in the United States. Many of their ingredients, such as most grains and meats, like chicken, beef and turkey come from the United States. Lamb and venison can be free range from the United States or New Zealand. Rabbit is sourced from Europe, and trout can come from the United States or Canada. Where possible Blue's suppliers are instructed to source their ingredients from the United States. Where the ingredients are not readily available in the United States, such as many vitamins and minerals, their suppliers will only work with reliable foreign companies, and subject all ingredients to rigorous quality testing. None of the ingredients are sourced from China.

Allergic Reaction

My cat is allergic to chicken, so I was happy to see no chicken listed in the ingredients. Not sure how accurate the ingredient list is however, since my cat broke

My cat is allergic to chicken, so I was happy to see no chicken listed in the ingredients. Not sure how accurate the ingredient list is however, since my cat broke out in itchy welts which she scratched until they were bleeding. She has only ever reacted to chicken in that way, so...?

Used for years, but I think the formula changed

I started using this dry food when I discovered that one of my cats is allergic to chicken, and it worked well for a long time, but then I think the formula changed,

I started using this dry food when I discovered that one of my cats is allergic to chicken, and it worked well for a long time, but then I think the formula changed, and I started noticing the one cat’s coat was dull and her eye were watery. Since I’ve switched away from Blue Buffalo, all of that has cleared up. At one time, this was a premium brand, but I think they’ve sold and changed the formula a few times and now it’s just expensive with no real quality. In the beginning, the bags of food smelled fresh and the kibble was a lighter color. The last few times I’ve purchased it, the kibble was darker and smelled differently. I wasn’t worried about it at first until I started noticing changes in one of my cats and decided to switch. Because she’s improved with the new food, I can’t help but think that Blue Buffalo changed its formula and I’m not here for it.

Limited proteins

It’s still in a trail with my cat who is 9 M/N DSH strictly indoors I still had to give him steroid injections to stop the intense chewing and scratching his hair

Quality i expected and the cat enjoys it. He's got a sensitive tummy, so he gets a little mixed with another brand for sensitive stomach, only this is very expensive

I have two cats, one has a really sensitive tummy and suspect chicken allergy/sensitivity. It has been difficult to find something he can eat and keep down. Since starting this food, he throws up significantly less, which is great. Both cats seem to enjoy this food a lot and finish everything in their bowl. I like the ingredients and protein % in this food. I am glad Chewy carries this because I have never seen it sold at in-person stores.
