Nutritious coated kibble for small breed dogs.

When I first received my bag, I opened it and put some in my dogs bowl. It is gently processed in small batches, and contains fruit, veggies and probiotics as well

When I first received my bag, I opened it and put some in my dogs bowl. It is gently processed in small batches, and contains fruit, veggies and probiotics as well. Lilly loved it, and she is picky! The kibble is a very small size, perfect for smaller dogs, and comes in a convenient zip lock bag, which is appreciated. Due to its high protein content, I use it as a topper over her fresh food, as she is a senior dog. My vet recommended keeping her protein content at a lower percentage. It is very convenient for travel as a dry and freeze dried food. I continue to use it as a topper with each meal, as it is so tasty to her. But it would also be a great complete food by itself for many dogs. I think I will try some of the grass fed beef next!

In the first 3 ingredients it is chicken meal, or beef meal. That is why the ingredients aren't listed on Chewy. I owned a pet store for several years and went to a lot of dog food shows. I would never knowingly buy any dog food with meal in it. My dog's feces are larger and the gas smell from my dachshund is horrible. He has never had gas. I figured that because this food claims to be superior and the price is higher than most it would be good. Stella and chewy is no better than Purina or Iams but the cost is much higher

Kudos to your packaging team. The Easy-open really is easy - no scissors needed. No kibble flying all over the place. And the package closes just as easily. I loved the tiny size for smaller dogs and especially for my very senior dog. And my younger, very picky eater is eating his entire meal, much to the chagrin of my senior dog who waits to eat the leftovers.

A great product, as usual from Stella & Chewy. The size was perfect for tiny chihuahua mouths. The ingredients were wholesome and the product looked great. Unfortunately, my two chihuahuas just weren't into it. They aren't particularly picky dogs but they picked the Stella & Chewy kibble out of their bowls and left it on their food mat. Regardless, I would not hesitate to recommend the food as Stella & Chewy make high quality products and my dogs & cat have really liked other products. If you are looking to try to change your dog's food or have a new dog, this is a very good product.

I’m a huge fan of Stella and Chewy products so I’m grateful for the opportunity to review this food. My boys eat a fresh food diet, sometimes raw, and I’ve had my boys eat the raw freeze dried patties from S&C, which they also love. I have one who is a very picky eater and absolutely hates kibble, but he really liked this one! The smell was enticing enough that they were begging for some as soon as the bag opened up. I decided to give them the raw coated kibble as a treat, in their eneichnent toys, they worked hard to get every bite. I’m a big fan of S&C not only because my dogs go crazy for it, but the ingredients are great, even in this kibble. I highly recommend.

My dogs are super picky and I liked that this food was a healthy option for them when they become pretty bored with their usual food. Sadly, one of my dogs did get bored of it (he is super picky though!) and even when I mixed in some rice he wasn't interested in it after a week. I've had other foods where he will go months without getting bored. Nothing to do with this food, he's just a picky eater and this didn't live up to his expectations.
