About Stella and Chewy’s
In 1997, Marie Moody adopted a dog named Stella from a local animal shelter. She soon decided that Stella needed a companion and adopted a sick pup named Chewy, who joined the family and helped forge the company’s history. On the advice of a veterinarian, Marie began feeding Chewy a raw diet to help with this health issues. He quickly recovered, and both he and Stella thrived on the new food, leading Marie to pursue her passion for pet nutrition and start her own business—Stella & Chewy’s.

Cats love!
My 2 babies love this food. The Ingredients are pretty great in comparison to others. Yes its a little pricey but my cats have beautiful soft coats and overall great health. My only complaint (besides the price) would be the inconsistent cans, sometimes theres a lot of chicken and sometimes its mostly gravy
"Yum yum"
Miss fussycat loves, actually essential for her since she doesn't drink water but there lies the problem for me - I see a can that is far from full with ingredients that are mostly gravy but with real chicken shreds. However, reducing the contents to 2.8 oz with a high price is absolutely ridiculous. Therefore I took off a star.
My boys LOVE this
It might sound really silly, but I find that the Stella wet foods smell just like chicken noodle soup. Somehow I find that to be comforting. The quality does seem to be very 'high end' but the cans are small and its a bit on the pricey side. We have two ginormous short hair domestic (brother) kitties. They absolutely love this food and many of the different flavors in S&C's wet food collection. Due to the cost, I tend to alternate this in to their regular food routine when I can or try to be on the lookout for sales to stock up.
All 3 cats refuse to eat this
I was so excited to see this offering by Stella and Chewy's, I bought a case of this and another flavor. It was a big mistake though. Coco, Nora, and Sunny all refuse to eat it. I've tried offering it heated, with and without crunchies, and no matter what I do to make it more enticing they would rather go hungry than eat this. I'm donating the remaining case to the local shelter. Wish I had a better review to give but when all three cats agree this is bad, I figured I should speak up.
I wish we could get "Just the Gravy"
My cats love the gravy on this food but rarely eat all the solids. Stella and Chewy: Please offer something like "Just the Gravy" for cats who need more liquids. This would tempt an ailing cat, giving nourishment and comfort.

I bought a case of this trusting the brand name. It is a great success with all 3 of my cats. They all have varying preferences but all of them like small pieces and lots of liquid. Two of my cats even ended up with a bit on the back of their heads because they dove into the food so quickly my incoming spoon with the second spoonful got jostled! I hope this will continue to please all 3. I am adding it to my rotation.
so excited that Chewy offers S&C new Savory Shreds
My 3 cats liked the Stella and Chewy freeze-dried “tater-tots” bagged food so I was excited to find S&C are making canned food. I got two of each variety of shreds and pate at my local pet store and found that the shreds were much preferred over pate. I feed them the shreds when they are roiling around the bowls and I know they will lap it all up. Over the hot summer I had been adding a little extra water to their Instinct rabbit pate. Now I just serve the more liquid shreds as is. The rare times any shreds are left in their bowls is because they are full-no hesitation in feasting-they dig right in (most S&C pate they sniffed and didn’t dig in immediately like the shreds.) I do open a can of the Instinct rabbit pate at night to bribe them not to wake me for food while I’m sleeping and they are partying in the dawn. They eat more cans of the shreds since the 5.2 oz can is smaller than the 5.5 oz of pate as well as having a visibly higher water content (The Cats and I are fine with this as it all goes down the hatch!) I kept checking the Chewy app and recently saw they were offering Savory Shreds for the same price as my local store. I do love the reliability and free shipping from Chewy and every customer service experience has exceeded my expectations-so I’m glad to order through Chewy. I love having my precious cats food delivered right to my doorstep-since the local store varies what they have when. The chicken/chicken liver shreds are their favorite-and I buy some of all the other shreds combinations (not all on Chewy app-hopefully they will add them)to give them variety. Our new favorite cat food at a good price. Win-win!
CATS WONT EAT IT
My six cats turn their nose's up at this food. I don't know what to do as I'm trying to get them off of the "junk food" friskies and have them start eating healthy food but they refuse to eat it. I just bought some science diet and they're doing the same thing with it. I think I'll have to go back to the friskies junk food.
