What is the difference between salmon/whitefish and salmon meal/whitefish meal?

Supreme Source recipes use whitefish or salmon meal because they contain much larger quantities of protein per ounce than raw whitefish or salmon alone. Chewy Cares!! The BEST customer service

I’m so thankful for a company like CHEWY! I forgot to update the address on my delivery and they too care of it! It was my mistake, but they sent another bag of dog food! I don’t know of any other company that would do that.

Great kibble that my dog loves!

My 8 year old German Shepherd loves this food. I had issues getting Stella's Essentials Whitefish formula for a while and switched to this and she loves it! She is 54# and maintains perfect muscle and body condition on 2 cups per day. She's starting to have hip issues, so keeping the weight off of her is important, and I do not have to feed her much to maintain her weight. This food has also improved her coat quality quite a lot.

Decent Kibble

I'm not a huge fan of any kibble, but on occasion rotate one of two daily meals to a kibble. This kibble has quality ingredients and is probably the best or close to the best. I took 1 star off because even though it lists quality ingredients it has gone through the process of producing kibble.

Tiny Kibbles

I was shocked when I opened the bag and noticed the size of the kibbles. Looks like food topper to me. So sad as these are way too small and probably would work best for miniature breeds. Picture shows regular dog kibble on the top and these on the bottom. Damien loves them but swallowed them without chewing.

Allergy friendly!!!

One of my two dogs has a severe allergy’s to chicken and grain. Stella and chewy give me the confidence I need to feed my dog something that won’t have her break out into hives. Both of my girl have so much more energy now that we switched to Stella and chewy. We hope chewy will have the meat raw coated kibble back in stock! My only concern is the size of the kibble. To me it looks like this food is made for small/ medium dog breeds. Not sure if the reason they have them small it to help the food break down more equally?? Who knows. My 55lb catahoula I feel like sometimes swallows the kibble since there so small.

no complaints

Chose this food to try for my dog with a definite poultry allergy and a likely grain allergy, but wanted a product with no peas/legumes due to the association with canine DCM. Chose this brand due to not having any documented cases/causation of DCM. This food provides me with peace of mind. Now, it’s too early to tell how my dog does on it but that varies dog to dog and doesn’t impact my review. He LOVES it, can’t stand still when he’s waiting to eat and does tricks very excitedly for it. The reason being that it’s SMELLY. Dogs love that. I, personally, can’t stand the smell and need to wash my hands after each time handling this kibble. So if you are very sensitive to smells, just keep that in mind.
