It may be a bit early to write a review on Gastro pHix. I purchased this at the recommendation of a trainer (you've seen him on TV). My horse is 13 and is used to just grass or alfalfa. I thought it might be good for him. However after less than a week on it he exhibited signs of colic. Something he has never shown before. So after a quick visit from the vet and her checking on the supplement's ingredients we are on indefinite hold pending further review.
I have used this for both my horses and I have seen improvements in their digestion regulations. As well as when we haul to trail rides they are more up beat after a long haul trailer ride.
My 4yr old has been on this supplement for almost 2 weeks. He is a very sensitive feely cutting bred Quarter Horse. Within 4 days I saw a marked change in his behavior especially around feeding time. I had no issues with him eating the product alone or mixed with his daily ration. I will be continuing this product with him as we increase our hauling to shows, training, etc.
Love this product- it’s like a souped up version of Purinas Outlast, and I use it for my ulcer prone horse with great results. Just wish Chewy didn’t charge 30% more than everyone else.
