  • Perfect for hermies

I added these to my hermit crab habitat. While on the small side, my crabbies still love them and they look great!

  • They are so small!

    By on

They are so small, much smaller than I could imagine. My little 1"-long cory catfish won't be able to take refuge in the hollow core of any of them. One as a diameter of about 1", and the other about 1 1/4". Nothing's wrong with the length. I wished Chewy had the larger size for sale. These will look tiny in my 70gal tank.

  • My hermit crabs love these!

    By on

I bought these for my hermit crabs and they love them. They're good for them and there was more in the bag than I originally thought there would be so of course that's a bonus! And to top it off the price was right.

  • Natural, Cool Aquarium Decor

    By on

Came in excellent condition, it looks really nice and natural in the aquarium. I recommend boiling it for 30 minutes or so, and letting it set for a few hours to get the tannins out and to get it water logged so it doesn't float. Definitely recommend this :)

Took a week to sink. Not overnight per package directions.

Looks good in my aquarium and it works well to attach gel foods for my algae eaters.

  • Great price!

We use this cholla wood in our 20 gallon tank so our shrimp have a place to hide, and they love it! We did have to soak it for 48 hours to get it to sink properly, but since then it’s worked great. The shrimp are in it all day and love cleaning it!

  • Not so sure

    By on

I soaked these pieces as recommended by the customers on these reviews. It took days before one of the two sank. The other piece had a terrible smell to it, similar to decomposition and sulfur. So I hesitated putting these pieces into my tank. I didn't want to offset any water chemistry already balanced. So it's hard to say whether or not these pieces would have been okay. Just didn't work out for me.

  • Great for what you pay.

I love the way cholla wood looks and these pieces are great. It is exactly what I expected. Just make sure you are aware of the sizes. It is two pieces that are exactly 6 inches, but it is easy to overestimate in size.
