Killed Everyone

Had over 20 healthy, beautiful shrimp. I wanted to enrich their environment. After adding a few of these cones, every single one died. I am very upset.

It was a different product for my shrimp.

It turned my water brown with just a few of them. My shrimp were not interested in them at all. I had to remove them and clean the water bit by bit over time. I

Help shrimps to breed & fight bacteria

Great little pinecones! I added a couple to my 40-gallon community tank, which already had a light tea-colored tint. Even after just a couple of hours, I could tell

Great little pinecones! I added a couple to my 40-gallon community tank, which already had a light tea-colored tint. Even after just a couple of hours, I could tell the water would have become even darker if I'd left them in longer. These pinecones are fantastic for releasing tannins, which can naturally lower the pH of your water and create a healthier, more natural environment for your aquatic life. Tannins also have mild antibacterial and antifungal properties, benefiting shrimp, fish, and other tank inhabitants. While I haven't seen shrimp eating biofilm from them yet, their main draw for me was the tannin release.

Came Crushed

These may be okay if they didn’t come crushed in my box of other large items. They were under two cases of cat food and other things too. I don’t recommend getting

I don’t recommend getting these unless you have a small order of items and they can be in a very small shipping box. They aren’t packed well and fedex doesn’t help throwing your packages around!!

Great quality for the price

I boiled these and rinsed them, then added them to my 10 gallon aquarium. They provide a lot of Tannins, and look great in the tank!!

Boiled and soaked these alder cones for 3 days before adding them into the tank. They make a really nice addition! The are not browning the water and they def contain lots of tanin which could help with water pH level. Bombshell approves!
