This product was a big disappointment. The lever to control the size for food dispensing kept closing while being pushed. I had to tape it. My dog finally chewed the lever after the tape fell off and it no longer slides.
If you are looking for an alternative to putting your dogs food in a food bowl, this is a sensible option. If you are looking for an activity, puzzle, or entertainment lasting longer than a minute, buy the other round kind. This is an egg shape and weighted on the side with the treat opening. The design allows a steady stream of food or treats. It looks like it has diverters inside to slow this down, but they are pretty shallow. The weight of the bottom of the dispenser really makes everything come out quickly. It has a nice feature that lets you change the size of the dispenser opening, but that doesn’t exactly slow the flow.
The size difficulty adjuster immediately closes as soon as she starts using it. Since nothing comes out when rolling it around she paws at it which then split the top part of the toy in half. Before it broke completely shed pick it up by the top to move it and then that broke and made her gums bleed
While I love the concept of this toy/feeder my 8 month lab easily opened it and was able pull it apart exposing the large metal disk inside of the wobbler bottom. He did have fun kicking around to get his treats out at first but then discover it might be easy to pull it apart. I’ll take some responsibility on error of judgment on my part. But it said it was for adult dog so I thought we would be in good shape. Therefore, I think a smaller breed or a dog that isn’t as aggressive of a chewer might really benefit from this and not have the same challenges with it coming apart so easily.
Our 15 year old miniature pinscher who destroys everything. He LOVES this toy!
Lab absolutely loved it until he broke it and was able to untwist the plastic part to reveal all the food.
My puppy ate threw this toy only used twice. I was shocked.
Our pup is 7 weeks old and this helps keep her amused and entertained. Dior absolutely loves it! Easy to refill and has an easy to adjust lever and opening to allow for the despensing of treats/food.
Our Lola just went crazy-happy with this new toy which rewards her with treats if she kicks it around the right way.
Not certain our little love is too crazy about this toy as it really does slow down or lengthen her feeding timeframe. Better for her digestion and simple to operate so overall it is a great product as long as your pet is patient enough to find the pieces as they fall from toy.
