Questions & Answers

3 Customer Questions

Does it come with the sunflower seeds already in the ball?

Answer by ChewyApr 10, 2025
This chew ball does not come pre-filled with seeds. Instead, it is designed with crevices that allow you to hide treats such as sunflower seeds or pine nuts inside, encouraging your pet's natural foraging behavior. This feature provides both mental stimulation and physical activity for your pet.

Should I use shelled sunflower seeds or leave the shell on when I put them in the ball?

Answer by ChewyApr 22, 2025
They use unshelled sunflower seeds in the SunGrow Parrot Sola Atta Shred Foraging Ball. The shells provide chewing enrichment and help wear down your hamster's teeth. Just ensure they're unsalted and offered sparingly, as sunflower seeds are high in fat.

Hi! Are the foraging balls made in the USA?

Answer by ChewyAug 09, 2022
This bird toy is made in China.

Perfect for my GCC

My green cheek loves these things. I don't love that they're all over the floor in my house, but that's okay as long as he's happy.

These little sola balls are just the right size for my small bird, petite enough for her to toss around, yet incredibly lightweight. seriously, it's nearly half her size!. After discovering her obsession with sola toys, I knew I had to try these. I left one with her while I made lunch. When I came back? Complete carnage. The ball had mysteriously disappeared, leaving behind only a crime scene of fluffy shreds. So yes, your parrot will probably adore these... just don't expect them to last. Mine would happily obliterate this entire pack before dinner if I didn't carefully dole them out one at a time. But let's be real... when a bird destroys a toy this fast, it's basically their version of a five-star review. If you want to treat your feathered wrecking ball to some instant gratification, these are perfect. Just maybe buy in bulk!

Sungrow

She loves it! It's the best thing ever, just like when she cleans herself. Now she's gonna look super sleek.

I need these in bulk

My conure isn't always very adventurous when it comes to toys. But once she discovered these chew balls, she is completely OCD until they are down to the nub!
