Questions & Answers

2 Customer Questions

Is the paint on these eggs toxic to chickens?

Does it have paint and is it safe for a parrot?

Answer by ChewyDec 25, 2025
The fake eggs are painted/coated. The manufacturer does not specify if the coating is non-toxic for parrots. Because parrots are active chewers, they may ingest the paint, so it is recommended to use plain, unfinished wood or solid plastic eggs as a safer alternative.

Looks like a real egg.

Needed something to place in my nesting boxes so the girls would start laying in the box and these eggs were just what I needed.

The eggs arrived in great condition.

They are a little shinier than real eggs, but the chickens don't mind.

Great quality.

We’ve been using these to train our pullets were delay and so far they are doing the job perfectly. The eggs are so nice in fact that some of our hens enjoy sitting

Like these because they look and feel like real eggs.

My chickens took right to these eggs. Hopefully they will be laying there own eggs soon.
