2 Customer Questions
Is the paint on these eggs toxic to chickens?
Does it have paint and is it safe for a parrot?
Answer by Chewy • Dec 25, 2025
The fake eggs are painted/coated. The manufacturer does not specify if the coating is non-toxic for parrots. Because parrots are active chewers, they may ingest the paint, so it is recommended to use plain, unfinished wood or solid plastic eggs as a safer alternative.
