Happy Hen Treats Ceramic Nest Eggs
Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again.
Happy Hen Treats Ceramic Nest Eggs help encourage egg production in nest boxes and not in inappropriate spots like on the ground or in hay bales, among other places. When hens learn to lay their eggs inside their nest boxes, it helps ensure that you get the maximum amount of clean and fresh eggs. They are durable and realistic looking, which helps discourage chickens from pecking or eating the eggs. These eggs also make a great test for broodiness.

The poop dont wash...
By iNetSpy on Jan 21, 2021
Blue Egg is Real, The Brown Egg is Ceramic. I realize when I bought these I could have used anything. Old plastic easter eggs, golf balls, etc... I bought two pair, white and brown. On delivery everything is great, but with gentle wiping to get chicken poop off the brown ones, the color is coming off. Again using water and my hands... /shrug I dont think the chickens mind, maybe we should not either. Oh fun fact, a couple of the chickens have rolled them out of the nest onto the ground. I would buy them again.

So realistic

I bought these to use for my girls. They are approaching 18 weeks old and I wanted to put one in the nesting box. They are very realistic looking. I would buy them again.

Wrong kind of egg. Highly disappointed.
By Carly on Nov 27, 2020
These were not the eggs I needed. They took too long to get here and they were the wrong eggs. I am going to end up with a bunch of bird babies thanks to chewy. Not pleased.

Ceramic eggs
By Jenm on Apr 30, 2020
My hens made every day an Easter egg hunt. And also liked to snack on the eggs we could find. Thankful for these! They now lay in their boxes and they haven’t (so far) eaten their eggs! I did see a hen pecking at one last night and she was getting upset it wouldn’t crack. Don’t worry, they get oyster shells and the shells of the eggs we eat. They just like raw eggs And leave the shell

Seems to fool them!

Now they use the other boxes for laying eggs where before they only used 2, can’t say they are laying anymore.

They really work!
By DebHar on Nov 3, 2019
I bought these to retrain my chickens to lay in their nesting boxes instead of wherever they wanted. They were back to laying where they should the day after I put the ceramic eggs in one of the boxes.

Not 100% duck approved! Chickens approve.
By Catrina on Feb 20, 2019
I have 4 chickens who have all laid their eggs in the box, one of the eggs was put in. The other egg was placed in a ground box for the ducks. 2 of the 3 do not mind the egg, the other does not like it and will push it out of the box!

My parrot's new toy.
By Dbird on Jan 25, 2019
Ok, I admit I didn't get these for the intended use of broody hen babies.. I got them for my TAG Parrot and he plays with them on the floor. They are durable! If they can stand up to Ashes then they are strong enough for chickens!

Ceramic eggs
By Billy on Aug 20, 2018
We placed the ceramic eggs in the laying box to prevent other hens from pecking the fresh eggs. Working well so far..
