Happy Hen Treats Ceramic Nest Eggs help encourage egg production in nest boxes and not in inappropriate spots like on the ground or in hay bales, among other places. When hens learn to lay their eggs inside their nest boxes, it helps ensure that you get the maximum amount of clean and fresh eggs. They are durable and realistic looking, which helps discourage chickens from pecking or eating the eggs. These eggs also make a great test for broodiness.

I have a male and a female duck. My girl lays eggs in her pet stroller. lol I was having to keep one egg in there all day so she would continue to lay in the same spot. This did the trick, so now I can use them all or put them right in the fridge. She didn't notice a difference(that I could tell) they are lighter weight and rough feeling, hers are heavier and smooth.
I am going to be ordering another set. Which is fine I needed 3 anyway. I bought them to train the hens where to lay their eggs. My only problem was one got dropped on a cement floor and broke. After seeing how thick they are I am surprised it broke
I bought these to fool my newly-laying hens when I take away their eggs. They look like the real thing and maybe now I'll get less pecks!
Bless our chickens for either not being very smart or just easily trainable - either way these fake eggs did the trick.
They are both laying now and they are laying in separate nest box . When they are pushed out the nest they try to peck them lol .a
Blue Egg is Real, The Brown Egg is Ceramic. I realize when I bought these I could have used anything. Old plastic easter eggs, golf balls, etc... I bought two pair, white and brown. On delivery everything is great, but with gentle wiping to get chicken poop off the brown ones, the color is coming off. Again using water and my hands... /shrug I dont think the chickens mind, maybe we should not either. Oh fun fact, a couple of the chickens have rolled them out of the nest onto the ground. I would buy them again.
I bought these to use for my girls. They are approaching 18 weeks old and I wanted to put one in the nesting box. They are very realistic looking. I would buy them again.
These were not the eggs I needed. They took too long to get here and they were the wrong eggs. I am going to end up with a bunch of bird babies thanks to chewy. Not pleased.
My hens made every day an Easter egg hunt. And also liked to snack on the eggs we could find. Thankful for these! They now lay in their boxes and they haven’t (so far) eaten their eggs! I did see a hen pecking at one last night and she was getting upset it wouldn’t crack. Don’t worry, they get oyster shells and the shells of the eggs we eat. They just like raw eggs And leave the shell
Now they use the other boxes for laying eggs where before they only used 2, can’t say they are laying anymore.
