The birds love them !
All four of my birds love the Sr. Peacock. The wood is soft and easy to chew. Keeps them busy for hours.
Doesn't work for me
The rope holding the whole thing together is soft cotton and without intermediate knots. Once it breaks the whole thing falls apart. All of it was on the floor of the cage in pieces by the end of the day, wood largely unchewed...
My boys FAVORITE toy
My Senegal Parrot absolutely LOVES this toy. It takes him about 2 days to turn it to sawdust, and we do go through quite a few of them in a month, it's well worth it to keep him entertained and happy!
Good toy for parrots
It took my parrot a few days to get used to the new toy but after that he really ripped it apart. He definitely enjoyed it!
Like a gym for parakeets
I have 3 parakeets - two male and one female. The female really likes to chew wood and will destroy the popsicle stick type toys in a day or two. I was looking for something that was pretty substantial, so I ordered this. The wood slats are about the length of a parakeet, not counting the tail, so this toy is very big for a parakeet and I wasn't sure how they would take to it. They all really like it though, and the female is busy turning it into a pile of sawdust but I think it will take her a good long time to completely ruin it. She also loves to climb around and hang upside down on things, and this toy is really fun for that because the top is a little see-saw-ish and the bottom has those fun rope ends hanging off. The two males are enjoying it too, with a lot less destruction involved!
Great for grey
This is an awesome toy. My African Grey Parrot has played with it daily for weeks now and loves it. It does get destroyed, as expected, but still keeps him happy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that when a piece of wood falls into his water dish, it leaks colors badly. I would imagine these are safe colorings used, but they could tone them down a bit. The red in the water is a little frightening at first. I’ve seen my parrot pull off a piece of wood and scratch his own head with it !! I use the wooden balls that he drops to create other toys for him and there are a lot. I bought an additional one of these for inside his cage and one is on top. Great, durable, long lasting - even while in pieces, no longer looking anything like the sales picture, it is still there and played with. I would recommend this toy.

Our macaw, Renegade is enjoying this toy! It’s bright and cheery in his cage. It’s well constructed too.
My African Grey destroyed this
This is a great toy. My Grey was NOT afraid of it at all. The challenge was that he chewed the rope first so the whole thing fell apart in less than 1/2 day. Not a good way to hve a toy last if your bird is super smart. I had to rerun the boards through one of his chain toys. This gave him a 1 more day of destruction time. I personally would not recommend this toy if you would like to have it last for more than a day. The 3 stars are for the rpice, the size and the fact that he did love it.
My bird loves his toy
I have a 9 year old Senegal parrot that I adopted from a rescue. I’ve tried different types of toys but the ones he really likes are the ones made of wood like this one. I will definitely be ordering more. Thanks chewy!
