I was excited to try this new toy out with my Quaker parrot, who loves to chew his paper octopus toy- of which he has gone thru at least two of- and I thought this pinwheel bird toy would be similar- However, upon removing the plastic wrap a noticeable musty smell. I always wash toys & perches before offering to my pets & tried washing & vinegar (the vinegar sizzles, meaning it is killing mold spores)- and then hanging in the sun to dry. I washed and vinegar again but am too nervous to give my pet, being that the toy still has a smell & reaction with the vinegar spray, some small grey / black spots that could be mold on the straw parts. I will NOT be giving this to my bird, absolute waste of money.
OMG! These toys are wonderful and didn't last very long! The birds were ALL over them as soon as they were placed in their cages! WOW~!
I’m on my third one! They love the little papers on it, I hear them chirping and picking at it so happy and it’s so cute. Once they don’t have any papers left I buy a new one.
I held off ordering this due to the plastic on the sides and the chain but wow was I missing out! Ordered 3, one for each small bird's cage (cockateils and quakers) and they all love it. All the textures and colors are fun. I would not give this to my caique who has easily broken plastic bits and beads on other things. I will buy again.
My bird absolutely loves this toy. It makes a mess but he’s having fun!
My parakeet is crazy about this toy. He tugs and pulls and turns it. He chatters to it. Total success.
