Serving tip: Most birds with accept Nutri-Berries right away; however, if your bird does not initially eat the Nutri-Berries, crumble them and mix with current diet until accepted. Nutri-Berries, when fed as the main source of nutrition, should be as 80% of the total diet with the other 20% being fresh fruits, veggies and nutritional treats.
Crumble berries into bird's regular diet, and offer whole pieces as well. Reduce the amount of previous diet while increasing berries. Weigh bird daily on a gram scale (kitchen scale). If weight loss of more than 10%, resume previous diet and begin again.

Food for Cockatiels
By GrnThum on Jan 2, 2021
We have two cockatiels and both of them like these little balls of seed and fruit. Have been using Lefeber exclusively for many years with Avi cakes the primary choice. Pearlie, my oldest bird is now 14 and still going strong. I highly recommend Lefeber as the premium pet bird food.

One of the best foods available
By doctordan7224 on Jan 10, 2021
Laferber makes some of the best parrot foods around, in my opinion. Nutri- berries are a good way to give seeds without overdoing it. You just have to find out which one your bird likes

Max Loves Nutri-berries
By Jeanne on Nov 28, 2020
Max is our 15 year-old Lovebird. He has three eating areas in his cage so he can scavenge to see what's there. Nutri-Berries are one of his favorites He spends a lot of time out of his cage so I also put Nutri- Berries in a dish on top of his cage to keep him busy! He likes all his foods from Chewy!

Bird loves nutri berries crushed.
By Daisy on Mar 16, 2020
My cockatiel at first peck on to the nutri berries and ate a piece but most of the time he ignores it but one time he ate the whole thing but I had the idea to crush the ball into more smaller pieces since the ball is rock hard and probably hard to eat from and he now loves eating it.

My bird seems to like these as they are the first thing he eats out of his bowl and I believe he is getting a little better nutrition than he had before.

Bird treats
By Kathy on Apr 10, 2020
I have a Quaker parrotlet. he eats.pellets.from.zupreem but I use the Nutriberries for treats. He yells and bangs the openings for his foodbowl He'll fling pellets.everywhere but not the nutriberries. he's 20 years old. He likes food from our plates, corn, noodles, pieces.of.fruit and such. I think I may just.switch over to all nutriberries, he'd be a happy little bird. No problems switching him.from.pellets.
