Sons conure loves it.
Bird came from a pet store where he had been in a very small area for seven of his nine months. So the spoiling has begun and he loves this toy. Will buy again.
Great product but too big
We bought this for our conure parrot but she won't go near it. She's an older bird and scared of new things. This item is too big for her, it's more suited to a bigger bird. We ended up donating it to a bird rescue. It's a great product though.
DANGER... WARNING
Our African Grey became tangled around the neck with the string that remained after chewing a row of plastic off. Luckily we were home when this happened and his yells warned us he needed help. Be warned and think twice before introducing this toy to your precious loved one.
Not sure it's appropriate for my African Grey
Just received this and I should have paid more attention to the previous reviews. The description of the toy says "Grass / Hay, Paper, Plastic" but I don't see any "grass/hay" or "paper". It's made of long strands of cotton string, with small hard round plastic beads, and very thin plastic long beads (are these what are meant by "straw beads" in the description?). There are 2 wooden balls. The only "paper" is the glossy tag attached. I'll have to monitor usage to see what my Grey does with those very thin plastic long beads. It would have been better if those long beads were made of wood, in my opinion.
Not for smaller birds
I like the toy and I think my two cockatiels will too but it was much longer than I expected. I felt like they would get lost in the toy so I removed two lower sections and retied the knots.
Twig loved it!
My lovebird twig loves this toy! He likes to perch and sleep in the middle of it. It took him about two months to rip off the beads. I will be buying again in the future.
Kepler’s favorite toy
All of our birds like these wind chimes but Kepler loves them. They definitely keep him busy for a bit.
Not for parrots
I didn't realize the toy was such thin plastic. It should be OK for smaller psittacines, such as cockatiels or budgies, but I can't safely give it to my Goffins cockatoo.
Perfect for my African Grey Parrot!
Highly recommend, I know some birds are finicky about toys and our Boo is one of those birds. But he absolutely LOVES this toy when he’s out.
