My dog doesn’t wear a collar. Will this protective collar still stay in place?

No. A properly fitted collar needs to be threaded through it, just like a regular E collar needs to be tied on to the dog. This is much more comfortable than a regular E collar.

Did NOT prevent my dog from reaching her back thigh incision. Very disappointed

I really wanted to love this Supet raised inflatable dog recovery cone because the inflatable collar part is soft, comfortable, and fit my 40lb dog’s 11.5 inch neck

I really wanted to love this Supet raised inflatable dog recovery cone because the inflatable collar part is soft, comfortable, and fit my 40lb dog’s 11.5 inch neck perfectly; I bought the Large, which was the right call over the Medium. She didn’t seem to mind wearing it at all and it was much nicer than the "plastic cone of shame." Unfortunately, the hard protective shield that zips onto the cone is way too short. My dog could very easily lick the incision on her back thigh. Within a couple of days the area was red and irritated, so I had to take her back to the vet. They checked the wound and immediately switched her to a long traditional plastic e-collar that actually works. For dogs recovering from spay, TPLO, or any surgery on the hips, thighs, or rear end, this product simply does not provide enough coverage. The shield only really protects the chest and shoulder area. I honestly think Supet should either: Make the rigid shield significantly longer, or Offer two shield sizes: a short one for front-leg, chest injuries and a long one for hind-leg or abdomen injuries). As it stands right now, I cannot recommend this cone for medium or larger dogs needing rear-body protection. It failed at the one job it’s supposed to do. Keeping my dog from reaching her incision, and that ended up costing me another vet visit. Super bummed because the concept is great, but the execution falls short for many common surgeries.

Cannot inflate

Unsure why, but this cone will simply not inflate. The material for the interior inflatable sticks to itself so much that it doesn't seem to be able to be inflated

Unsure why, but this cone will simply not inflate. The material for the interior inflatable sticks to itself so much that it doesn't seem to be able to be inflated without a much stronger method than blowing by mouth. It's a pity, as I was hoping this would help my dog out a lot!

Would not stay inflated

In theory this would have worked for my pet, but it just would not stay inflated :( I tried many times and triple checked for any leaks but it just seems to be not

Was pergect for her, and was way more comfortable than the cone they give you at the vet. We didn't need the added piece, but looooved that it came with just in

She was amazing at not trying to get at her incision, but if she did that part would've helped even more! We were all very happy with this.

This looks much more comfortable than a regular cone

This fits real well. It seems comfortable if that’s possible but most of all it protects him from getting at his incision site! My vet loved it.

Really great, adaptable e-collar

I love the added protection of the zip-on part. You can use it if the dog can still reach the lower body, or take it off and just have an inflatable collar.

Silly but safe!!!

Clear cone alone scared her, donut alone allowed her to lick her incision, this collar kept her comfortable as well as keeping her incision safe.
