This is a great E-collar! It's the perfect combo of soft and sturdy. It's got structure that keeps it from budging. The waterproof material is also a plus. As someone who used to work in a vet office, I can say that I'm very impressed. My dog is a shepherd mix who tries to weasel out of things, and this stood the test of time (an entire month and counting). Plastic e-collars freak her out and therefore she creates new injuries on her face. The donut e-collar doesn't work for her flexible body and persistence. Other soft e-collars were too soft and the elastic bands that attach to her collar snapped. Would highly recommend this e-collar!

My little dog was in between sizes so I ordered up a size. Still too small. The rough part of the hook and loop material literally collects EVERYTHING. Starts to look dirty real fast and she’s even drug her little blanket around because it stuck to the material. One thing I didn’t think of when purchasing this to replace the plastic one the vet gave me, is that it is opaque. My poor dog has no peripheral view at all now, so she’s running into more things than she was when we used the cheap clear plastic cone. Also, the material is thick, and heavier than the other cone. I take it off often to allow her poor neck to rest. Which kind of defeats the point. And it doesn’t keep its shape, more like a triangle than a cone. Hindsight, I would’ve been patient longer and just kept the free clear plastic cone. Save your money.

Dog hates it. But it works & is WAY better than the dumb plastic ones. Seems they have improved the Velcro, or it’s different on the smaller ones. 100% would recommend

Therefore I had to use treats and conditioning and to start her off with the clear plastic cone before I progressed to this one. Now she's fine with this cone and I like how flexible, comfortable and big it is. With other cones she could reach the abscess on her foot but with this cone she can't. I'm happy with the purchase. It is a high quality cone.

My boy had a lump removed from his back leg. I went through two plastic cones that I combined with the inflatable donut collar before buying this one. This is the only cone that he wasn’t able to get to his back leg and chew the stitches and/or staples out. I ordered the XX-large cone as his neck to snout measurement was just over the smaller size length (and the longer the better in my opinion). If your dog is basically a contortionist and has a body like a wet noodle, this cone could work for you! Absolute lifesaver of a cone after he removed his stitches and then staples in the previous plastic cones.

Bought this thinking finally I had a solution for our great Dane. She had to have her toe amputated awhile back and constantly licks the wound site. We ordered several different things to try and stop it and this looked promising as the XXL said for great Dane breeds. Well after 4 days of use the straps that hold it to the collar broke. Not worth it for larger breeds.
