Questions & Answers

13 Customer Questions

Do you need to feed the larvae?
Answer by ChewyNov 23, 2021
The larvae are fine unfed unless you would like to grow their size up or if you are farming them. In that case, we suggest soft banana, apple or carrot to help. But they are okay left in the container they're shipped in and without food.

How do you store them properly?
Answer by ChewyMay 12, 2021
To store, leave this food in a container in room temperature. We recommend keeping away from direct sunlight.

can these be fed to leopard geckos?

Apparently 600=300

So I ordered 1000 black soldier fly larvae for my dragon. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they sent me two containers of 600. I set a feeding schedule for 15 larvae, 3x per day (she's young) so I should have enough for about a month with the extra 200. I ran out in 2 weeks, 2 WEEKS! That's about 600 fed so in reality, there were only about 300 per container bc I've found none dead. Sad to say I will be finding a new live food source. What a shame.
