When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

The Diet Nature Intended
They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.
Energy That Lasts
Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support
Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.
Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas
Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.
Ingredients for Better Health
The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.
TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.
BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.
RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

Taste of the Wild Duck
By Chewylover on Jan 12, 2021
Trying finding a grain free dog food for a dog with so many allergies that you can't list them all, a food that doesn't break the bank, a food that the dog will eat--well TOTW Duck has done that. My English Bulldog loves this food and it's already making a big difference with his allergies. And Chewy has a good price along with fabulous delivery. And smells good too

Awesome Chewy Service
By Cecil on Nov 21, 2020
This product is great, but the CHEWY CUSTOMER SERVICE is the Best around. I received a bag of this product with a small whole in the bag due to shipping. They not only sent me a free bag of dog food they also took the time to send me a very nice email, card in the mail, and a painted picture of my dog on canvas. I love the chewy team and everything they stand for. They are the best customer service around. I will continue to you their service and HIGHLY recommend them. Thank you very much for caring as you do.

Grain-free diets are fine!
By Holdsie on Nov 5, 2020
I see a lot of concerns about grain-free diets. Please do not worry about Taste of the Wild. The concern with grain-free diets is that dogs may not get enough taurine, leading to heart issues - however in grain-free diets with the majority of protein coming from meat rather than vegetables, like Taste of the Wild, taurine content is high. My dog has been eating grain-free (Wellness Core then Taste of the Wild rotating flavors) for 7 years. He is now 12 years old. When I took him for his vet appointment, they were amazed by how healthy he is. They did check his heart for any heart issues, considering the concerns with grain-free diets, but found his heart is very healthy. If you are worried, I see a lot of concerns about grain-free diets. Product is great, not sure about chewy shipping though
By Littlewolf on Nov 3, 2020
My dogs love this new brand of dog food! My oldest was having issues with constipation and my young very active pup was a little overweight I researched the brand I was feeding them and realized it was high in carbs so I looked for something better. This not only is a great source of lean protein but it has prebiotics in it to help with digestion. My dogs get so excited and scarf this food down when it’s time to eat. Very happy with my choice to change over to this. The only problem I have that I gave it 4 stars is that I signed up to have this delivered by chewy and when I recieved my packagw the box was in great condition but the dog food bag in side was cut open and dog food was loose in the My dogs love this new brand of dog food! I had to go out and spend $30 on a lock tight container big enough to store all 28lbs of Kibble. Defeated the purpose of having it delivered so I didn’t have to leave the house being that I’m 8 months pregnant. Hopefully my next shipment won’t be another torn bag. … more

The dogs love it.
By BeegsBarley on Jan 9, 2021
Dogs haven't complained yet, but then again, they eat rabbit poop in the yard so......... Our beagle has food allergies, but not with this brand.

Our dogs love this food
By TatosDogmom on Sep 11, 2020
We have 3 dogs in our household and all of them love this flavor! We've been doing Taste of the Wild food for about a year now and we go through it quickly with 3 doggos. This is one of their favorite flavors and they can't wait for breakfast and dinner. In fact one of our dogs broke into the side of the bag without our knowledge he likes it so much.

Not Vet Recommended
By Garrett on Aug 29, 2020
I was excited to start feeding this to my German Shepherd Husky Mix, until my vet told me Grain Free diets are not recommended for most dogs, and can actually cause heart problems. Please talk to your vet and make sure this food is the right choice for your dog. I’m just glad i found out sooner rather than later! My dog wasn’t in love with the food anyway, and I’ve since switched to something that she enjoys more (:

Good Ingredients but He Wouldn’t Eat It
By Luna on Aug 18, 2020
I’m sure this food is good for my standard poodle, who has an autoimmune disease, but he just doesn’t like it. He’s always liked Taste of the Wild, and he’s always eaten them (I think there was one more exception) without hesitation, but even on prednisone, which has given him an extreme appetite, he often leaves 100% of this food behind. I’ve had to give in and order different kibble, and I’ll be donating what’s left of this. We’re still true to the brand, and the new kibble is Pacific Stream, which he loves!
