Compounding pharmacists mix or change one or more FDA-approved medications to prepare a special medication for your pet. For example, if a medication is only available in pill form, the pharmacist might create it in liquid, gel, or capsule form.
Your pet may have a specific health need that cannot be addressed by an FDA-approved drug. For example:

a chewy is great and on it with my pets needs on shipping out quickly. these are his life saving meds.
I got size medium my Lilly is 5.9lbs five or take a couple pounds maybe. I think she’s gaining, it might be a little big. I have noticed it I buy her small And it just fits she scratches more she’s hypoallergenic dog. It will probably shrink a little but whenever she had a looser dress or shirt, she loves clothes. She has sensitive skin so hoping this will less itching but so worth the price and looks so cute. Love it
Helps my dog tremendously!! He has a collapsed trachea and this helps to clear his lungs from fluid. It was nice that Chewy carries it.
The childproof lid breaks easy and the syringe used to measure has numbers that rub off after a few uses.
Great. Service quick and accurate. The lady I spoke to was very polite and helpful.
The customer service in processing some compounded Rx's for our dogs via Chewy.com has been exceptional! As a Pharmacist myself, I would add however, that for oil-based liquid suspensions, I'm disappointed to see that the Rx label itself was not "taped-over" with clear 2" wide tape, to minimize the occasional oily 'smearing' of the label. Other than that 'minor' issue, services provided have been fantastic - thanks !!
Couldn’t get my pet’s Rx filled at regular pharmacy Chewy contacted my vet to verify, filled the Rx and shipped it right away Great dependable service
I have been giving this medicine to my 17 year old cat for a while now, I think it helps quite a bit. I know she is not going to get "better" her lungs are too bad. She takes 0.5 in a syringe every day and really hates it, I don't think she thinks it is chicken tasting at all. I wish there was a pill option for her. I called every local pharmacy to find this product and chewy was the only place that had it. Medicines are keeping her going and she is doing pretty well for her age and condition. Thanks chewy for providing this service.
I give one ml liquid twice a day to my Shihtzu name Jack. He Is 13 1/2 years old and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. Has a 3/6 heart murmur. He also takes 20 mg of sildenafil three times a day. He is not coughing as much and his breathing is a lot better.
I have a 14 year old diabetic cat who was recently diagnosed with Asthma. Since giving her this medication her coughing/wheezing has slightly improved. I know it’ll never get better until the inflammation can be resolved, but it’s been good to see her coughing fits being shorter & less violent. Regarding taste, she hates this. I tried putting it with her favorite Chicken flavored treats, and she sniffs & walks away. I tried hiding it in some stinky food, and after one sniff she can tell & avoids it. I had to resort to forced syringe feeding for her to take it. The feel is slightly greasy, so if you get it on your fingers it’s tough getting it off without a degreasing soap. For some reason it also tends to make the provided syringe stick when I am shooting the liquid into her mouth. So expect to put a little extra effort in the process. Overall I recommend the liquid if you’re good with handling & syringe feeding your cat.
