Three Dog Bakery Ultimate Celebration Birthday Vanilla Cake Mix Dog Treat, 11-oz box

Baking was easy. Next time I would add less water to the icing to have a thicker consistency so I can actually pipe on decorations. Still, the icing covered the whole cake and then some. I’m amazed it did because the item arrived to us with the icing bag a little open (though the box itself and cake mix was closed) and a bit of the powder went everywhere. I made my own unsweetened applesauce (boiled water and cubed apple pieces), used coconut oil, 2 eggs, and banana for the cake itself. I used water for the icing as instructed. The cake was shared among 5 dogs and there was half the loaf left over that we then shared with other dogs in our apartment complex. It made A LOT of cake. If you cut the loaf (as seen in the photo) in half horizontally and then slice those halves vertically, you would have enough to feed 8-12 dogs at the very least. The humans tasted the product too and though the icing was disgusting, the bread itself was pretty good and all of the dogs liked it (even the picky eater of the group). I would totally recommend this mix. It was fun to bake with my dog and let her lick the spoon on some ingredients and so easy to put together.
