This has worked miracles! My poor cat has such anxiety he cried for hours at a time and was only consoled if I was touching him. He robbed me of sleep, and I was worried I would get noise complaints from the neighbors. After putting this on he has become much more calm, quiet, playful, and he seems to actually like wearing it. I’m buying two more so we can wash and change them out. Here you can see the goodest boy in his happy shirt.
Ferrari tried this on and he just laid down on the floor in the vest. He needs this vest because he is a most terrible patient at the vet’s office. I prefer this vest as an alternative to meds because I’m afraid he’ll be more hostile if he is disoriented from medication. So glad to find that Chewy Carrie’s this item for anxious cats.
My cat had a bad experience at the vet office and now goes into extreme distress. I had hoped the jacket would help. It did stop the rapid breathing but put him into depression. After 24 hours I took it off. Maybe a 2nd try will be better
I ordered a large because I have a Maine coon. It fit around his chest, but the front band was much too wide and interfered with his walking. There was no way to adjust it. He has very long legs and body, but not a deep front chest. It was completely useless because it disturbed him to be on. I have successfully put a harness on him for going outside. I had a "comfort shirt" from another company that I had bought for my Sheltie and that was a little better, but not great. The fabric and construction on the ThunderShirt seems too stiff. The other one I have is a softer knit and more accommodating.
