About Comfort Zone Calming Cat Spray

Curb Stress in Your Cat

Just like people, cats behave differently when stressed. Comfort Zone products help relax your cat to curb stress-related, disruptive behavior so your cat can feel and behave her best.

Protect Your Home

Comfort Zone Calming Spray helps reduce symptoms of cat stress like urine marking and destructive scratching.

Promotes Positive Behavior

The trusted, drug-free technology in Comfort Zone Calming Spray helps reduce stress and promote positive behavior in your cat. Use it to create a calming environment at home or in new environments to make your kitty feel more relaxed, or spray it when you add new furniture to your home. You can also use it in your cat’s carrier for vet visits and travel.

How it Works

Comfort Zone Calming Spray contains pheromones that mimic a cat’s natural feline facial pheromones (FFP)—the same pheromones your cat leaves behind when head bunting you or rubbing her face on the furniture. These pheromones signal that a place or object is safe and familiar, so using the spray can help make new objects or places feel more comfortable and cozy for your feline friend.

How to Use

At home, spray any areas where your cat scratches inappropriately or marks with urine. You can also use Comfort Zone Calming Spray proactively on new furniture to prevent these unwanted behaviors. For travel, spray it inside your cat’s carrier 15 minutes before you leave, using one spritz in each interior corner for good coverage.

Vet Recommended

Provides behavioral support for cats 10 months and older when used as directed.

Improved Behavior

The spray helps reduce stress and promote positive behaviors, with noticeable improvement in as little as two weeks.

Pheromone Technology

Comfort Zone makes a full line of pheromone products to help your cat feel better.

Promotes Relaxation

The calming spray signals a feeling a safety to your cat, lowering stress levels and promoting relaxation.

About Comfort Zone

Comfort Zone is dedicated to helping cats feel safe, calm and happy using signals they naturally understand. They make a wide range of products designed to promote positive behaviors and lower stress in cats. Their drug-free calming solutions can be used in and around the home or on the go. Take Comfort Zone anywhere your kitty needs to feel relaxed, safe and stress-free!

Does this spray expire?

If I spray it too closely to an area and her paw gets some of this on her, is it safe if she licks her paw?

Answer by ChewyFeb 21, 2019
It's safe if your pet licks their paw and the spray is on it. This calming spray contains 15% Analogue of Feline Pheromone, and 85% Diethylene Glycol Monoethyl Ether.

What is the difference between the classic and the multi-car formulas?

Answer by ChewySep 17, 2019
The calming formula is better for pet owners calming a cat with spraying or scratching issues, while the multicat formula helps eliminate conflict and tension among cats.

Are any of your sprays completely odorless? I am allergic to fragrance? How about the diffuser?

Answer by ChewyAug 09, 2019
This feline spray is odorless, drug-free, and only contains two ingredients: Analogue of Feline Pheramone 15% and Diethylene Glycol Monoethyl Ether 85%.

No effect

I sprayed this on a cloth and placed it on cardboard on the spot of the rug where there has been some urine marking. We have a randomly passing neighborhood cat outdoors and I think this marking by our cat is a territorial response. Seemed like it was going to work until it didn't. I was spraying the cloth almost daily. One day, I found she had urinated directly on the cloth. Oh well. It may work for some cats. Didn't prevent mine from marking right over it. (I chose not to spray directly on the carpet because yes it will leave residue.)

I use it in the car, before the trip begins. I use it when traveling and going to a hotel room or new home to my cat, and it provides the comfort she needs. I also use it when moving to a new apartment or home, spraying the home prior to the move-in, and it seems to keep my cat at ease.

Calms them

Adding a new younger cat is not easy. I have found this spray works effectively to calm them. We’ve had just a few hisses and no swatting.

The vet told us she needed pheromones so we got this one

Polaris is so much calmer now just like she was when she was a kitten. We will be buying a larger bottle next time

Made my cat nonstop.

Made my cat sneeze continuously especially if he was on bed or blanket. Didn't work for my cat. Vet said he's most likely allergic to it.

name recognition; offered a small spray bottle that worked best for me

Adopted a two yr. old neutered male; he was fine in the house the first few months with my other two female cats, then started to urinate on my bed . Used this product per directions and urinating stopped. A few months later he sprayed my headboard so I used it again and I have not seen or smelled any more urine so far. I believe it works but I may need to reinforce with occasional treatments.
