Doesn't seem to work on long haired dogs

It grabs a lot of stuff when we brush our dog with it (debris from the woods etc) but hasn't picked up any ticks. I don't think it works if the fur is long enough

It grabs a lot of stuff when we brush our dog with it (debris from the woods etc) but hasn't picked up any ticks. I don't think it works if the fur is long enough or thick enough for the ticks to get underneath. Sort of bummed about it.

Loving my Tick Mitt so far! It's been so convenient and easy for checking my dogs for unattached ticks after hikes. The area we live in is bad for lyme disease and ticks, so having this mitt has been so great to quickly swipe over them to give me peace of mind that they're tick free. My dogs' have short fur and the mitt picked up some small ticks I probably would've missed otherwise, this is now a staple in our tick prevention routine. We make sure it's always easily accessible and used after they're outside, especially in the fall months, and spring months going forward. I also love how you can just throw it in the dryer to kill them and clean the mitt.

Works surprisingly well for ticks crawling on the surface of my dog’s (a Brittany) fur. Easy to kill the ticks by throwing the mitt inside the included mesh bag

Works surprisingly well for ticks crawling on the surface of my dog’s (a Brittany) fur. Easy to kill the ticks by throwing the mitt inside the included mesh bag and into the dryer for 10 minutes. Would recommend for faster tick removal versus only using your hands.

Works for ticks and weed seeds!

This tick mitt is easy to use this, giving us peace of mind after dogs are out and about in the great outdoors of the mountains of Georgia, as we worry about ticks. There are many deer here who might be carrying these pesky critters. And, oh my, do I have a lot of fur to check. My tail is like a broom that sometimes just drags on the ground, potentially picking up hitchhikers. Bonus, when using the Tick Mitt, it is like a massage for the doggies.

Looks promising

I take my dog to an off leash dog park that has a ton of hiking trails and lots of wooded areas. Nothing makes him happier than running through the brush just parallel

I take my dog to an off leash dog park that has a ton of hiking trails and lots of wooded areas. Nothing makes him happier than running through the brush just parallel to the actual path. I love to see his joy, but I’m always terrified of what I’ll do if he brings home a tick! Having the TiCKMiTT on hand to do a thorough check before (and after) we get home will relieve so much of that anxiety. The product appears well made and my dog doesn’t appear to mind being pet with it.

Given that it has been a crazy tick season, I know how important it is to remain diligent in checking your pup for ticks. My dog has long fur and this can prove to be a difficult task at times. I wanted to try another method other than manually looking through his fur. The TiCK MiTT makes it super easy and simple to run and rub through fur to help get rid of ticks. It also helps give me a peace of mind that no ticks have hitched a ride back home. I also love how it comes with an instruction card and a mesh bag so you can throw it in your dryer to make sure it's clean for future use. Would definitely recommend to anyone who takes tick safety seriously and those who want to keep their dogs and family protected.
