- Some would say cats are picky. Tidy Cats likes to think of them as having high standards. So keep this in mind when switching litter, and do so gradually.
- Start with 2/3 old litter and 1/3 new, increasing the new litter over time so kitty can get used to it. By the time her box is 100% new litter, she’ll probably think the whole thing was her idea.
Instructions
Use a moisture-proof cat box large enough to comfortably accommodate your cat(s). We recommend removing solid waste daily and cleaning the cat box with warm water and a mild detergent between litter changes.
- Pour to a depth of 2-3 inches.
- Remove solids daily.
- Add more litter to maintain a depth of 2-3 inches. nnUse a moisture-proof cat box large enough to comfortably accommodate your cat(s). We recommend removing solid waste daily and cleaning the cat box with warm water and a mild detergent between litter changes.
Additional Instructions
- Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination.
- Not for internal use. Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid.
- Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.

It Seems To Work
I don’t have anything to compare it to yet as we bought it for our recent kitten we got. I also bought scoop away and haven’t used it yet. We bought this as this was the brand our Maine Coon kitten was using before we picked her up to take home. It has a pleasant smell. It’s a decent price. It seems really dusty so I have to take the box outside when I clean it every couple days. It’s almost out and I will try the scoop away we bought for comparison. But it seems to work as advertised.
no clumping
Cons: no clumping action happening when they pee so when I try to scoop it it just crumbles and spreads everywhere. Which means I can never have completely clean/new litter for my kitten to use as it will be mixed Pros: this lasted me a really long time even though I had throw out a big section each time they pee as a way to prevent cross contamination with the clean parts
Not so great
I bought this and I was disappointed in the quality, it fine and duster than I remember. After the first day I noticed an odor coming from my cat box it just doesnt do a good job covering up the smell. I bought because I was on a tight budget but it just wasn't worth it because I had to change it so often. I ended up using the rest to soak up oil in my driveway.
The litter was darker than usual as if it was damp
With it being darker, I suspected it was damp. While I cannot feel the dampness, the complete lack of absorbance proves that the litter in the bag was not normal. It's an unscoopable mess; I need to completely change the litter every week. I'm going to stick with the buckets.
Dust Free Litter
After trying different non-clumping litters, I find this to be the best. It not only controls odor, but also has the least amount of dust.
i guess I get what I paid for
Bought this for my orange cat while on a budget. My friend recommended it to me. First for the pros: you get a lot for the price. It lasted me like 3 months whereas the arm and hammer clumping litter I would usually get would last no more than a month if I got lucky. The other pro was that my cat likes using it. At first I had no issues with the arm and hammer but after some time Nora would not stop staring at it and would yell at me because of it. I read this could mean an infection or that she didn’t like her litter, the problem was gone once I switched to this one. The other good thing is that it was pretty dust free. Now for the cons: THE SMELL, we all know cat pee smells bad but mixed with this litter it was AWFUL. At first I was using arm and hammer deodorizer powder that we used with our childhood cat and it made the smell even WORST. The tracking was ridiculous, the bathroom was a mess. I didn’t give it a lower rating because of the price, its cheap and if you can make the time to clean it multiple times a day, switch it once a week, and fully disinfect biweekly then I’m sure it would be much more tolerable but I have a busy schedule so longer lasting litter is a must. Now that I’m in a better place economically I got my girl Worlds Best Cat Litter (which is pretty decent price!) and so far its been amazing. TL;DR if you are on a budget it works as intended if you can spare more time in cleaning it and with a heavy duty mat for tracking. Your kitty will like it without breaking your wallet.
Not happy with this product.
My purchase of tidy cat. Been buying this product for a very long time. It seemed this time that it was more like sand then gravel. I will not buy this product anymore and wish i could send the other bag back. Will have to check out local store from now on. Very unsatisfied.
Not thrilled
I’ve been using this litter for awhile now, but have noticed recently after one- two uses both litter pans smell very strong of urine/ammonia causing me to dump the both pans of litter way more often because it’s not as powerful as it claims to be. Not sure if the formula has changed but will be looking for a different brand of litter from now on.
My new favorite litter!
I use the PetSafe automatic litter box and I’ve always hated the litter it came with. Because this litter is non-clumping the rake on my litter box can clean for me without any trouble and now my house doesn’t smell. The clean up is was easier too because my old silica litter used to leave a really gross mushy residue that I don’t have a problem with anymore. I change the litter weekly and the big bag lasts me two months. I’ll be sticking to this litter for as long as they sell it.
Don't understand
The product works fine for me and my cat (Zoey). I wanted to compliment the delivery driver's performance. Product was left on my door mat, nedatly, and quietly. With no dings or dents.! 5 star!!!
