One of my kittens is a little pickier than the other: she’ll eat the food usually, but only small portions at a time. so far, they’ve had Sheba, Wholehearted, Nulo, Rocky Mountain, and Instinct. part of the reason for the variation is because I’ve been testing out different foods that have “weird” meats or organs so they’re exposed to them while they’re still kittens. The beef and beef liver is the only one that my picky one vacuums up. Not even kidding. I personally don’t like the smell of liver, I thought the food smelled a little gross but I waved the bowls in front of them to get them to come to the kitchen. both of my kittens RAN after me. Anyway my older kitten who usually finishes everything finished her food first for the first time, and she left over a little bit. My younger one licked her bowl clean then went for her sister’s leftovers after she went away. then she came back to the empty bowls maybe 30 min later, I gave her some more, and she finished her portion and started eating some of her sister’s; her sister wasn’t hungry at the time. Idk. It’s the first time she’s ever had beef, so maybe I accidentally found out that she’s a big fan of beef. They also really liked the sardine and lobster consomme pate. Anyway, so far, they have yet to let tikicat sit there and dry out like they’ve done for some other foods. Just very surprised at her reaction to this flavor. In general, she’s very sensitive to smells, so maybe if you’ve got a cat that’s similar, this might work out.

Lamb flavor should be recalled

My cat, who can only eat a very limited diet (allergies), likes this food as part of the rotation. Unfortunately, the latest case of small cans was... foul. I opened

My cat, who can only eat a very limited diet (allergies), likes this food as part of the rotation. Unfortunately, the latest case of small cans was... foul. I opened a can and it was filled with what can best be described as brown chunky liquid. I opened another can to find what could best be described as sludge. I opened a third can, which seemed a bit more solid, put a tsp in a dish, and my cat (who had been badgering me for food), sniffed it and retreated under the sofa. Chewy has been FANTASTIC about this (not their fault)-- TIKI has been NEGLIGENT-- numerous unreturned voicemails (their vm box is now full, ahem), emails etc. the affected cans seem to span lot numbers, but all appear to expire July 2027. I'd at least have expected Tiki to send an email or return my call to tell me that they were looking into it, but no. Chewy has the lot info etc--hoping they have better luck getting through to Tiki. Chewy is replacing the cans, which I should receive later today. I hope this is a one-off issue, but have lost confidence in Tiki as a brand. YMMV

Loved this one

My cat loves it!

She will only eat beef ( only 2 other brands) and Tiki Cat Salmon. Each of the 4 brands are 90% or great meat based foods. My parkour princess will stand for nothing
