are my 7 month old kittens too old for this food?

Answer by ciciJan 27, 2024
No! Cats are considered kittens up to 1 year old. So kitten food would still be okay for your 7 month old

Tiki Baby has age appropriate food for my boys at 4 weeks and now 8 weeks.

My twin boys are picky. Yet growing fast. They love the Tiki Baby Pate. Both are happy and healthy according to their vet. Neither of my boys have shown any signs

The vet dissed it. So of course I was immediately imagining how I would sneak the Little Heathens an occasional can on the sly. She said there were reports of urinary illness connected to this food. I looked around the web and didn't find any. Maybe she just doesn't like Hawaiians? So it doesn't matter coz the Little Minks haven't been so crazy about it lately. Trixie has been an Orijen Wild Reserve dry food for kittens devotee since we got her. (And maybe someday I will tell you about the oatmeal water trick I do to get cats to drink more water.) Honestly I'm not so worried about my cats drinking enough water. They see me drinking a lot and they want some too, sometimes, especially when temps rise. I think it's enough. They have three watering stations to choose from in our two story place including a fountain. Then, we followed the vets advice and discovered the joy of ORIJEN Premium Chicken & Salmon Entree in Bone Broth Pate Wet Kitten Cat Food. They cry for it, more than Tiki, I'm afraid. It's subtle, but the difference is poignant, giving me that feeling I used to have when I was young and so often in love and then sometimes, you know, getting it right.

Awesome, cat doesn’t like it tho

I think it’s great, my cat unfortunately just will not eat these. I’m pretty sure it has to do with the texture as he’s used to eating pates and not shreds

Baby Shreds

Love this brand but every can just seemed like shredded chicken. My kitten ate it all just the same except the salmon, we figured out he doesn’t like the salmon

My kitten did not like it. A couple of years ago I gave adult tiki to my cats, and they didn’t like the wet tiki cat food in the envelopes.. I thought they were interesting flavors that were different but the cats didn’t like them. Unfortunately, the new baby doesn’t like me either.

Shreds type food for kittens!

This was a gift for a family member who got a kitten. He wasn’t keen on pate cat foods and he really likes this kind.

Kitten Loves It!

It's the only food she'll eat. We tried giving her weruva kitten line and she wouldn't touch it. Tiki Cat is the only food she'll eat.

This food gave my kitten severe diarrhea that required an emergency vet appointment and a follow up with my vet. Poor baby was dripping diarrhea. After changing foods, kitten had no issues. Sadly just purchased 2 packages of this food.

Be careful with shreds

My kitten is around 5 months and has mostly eaten pate wet foods. I wanted to get something with different texture for him to try so I got the shreds variety pack

My kitten is around 5 months and has mostly eaten pate wet foods. I wanted to get something with different texture for him to try so I got the shreds variety pack. 1. He barely touched the tiki cat wet food when I would put it on his plate but also, 2. It seemed like since he is so used to pate where he can essentially just lick up the food, he was gagging and seemed like almost choking on the shreds. If your kitten is used to pate, you may want to be careful when giving them the shreds.
