For adult cats, feed approximately 2 cans per day per 7 lbs. of body weight. For kittens, offer food several times a day, feed up to twice this amount. Pregnant or nursing cats may require two to four times their normal feeding. The amount to feed will vary based upon age, activity level, breed, size, and environment. Please use the feeding guidelines as an initial recommendation and adjust food amount as needed to maintain proper weight. Always provide access to clean, fresh water.
Bought this to try as my cats love Tiki Cat After Dark and Instinct Chicken Pate. Unfortunately, the Tiki Cat Pate was a huge fail. Neither cat would eat more then a couple mouthfuls then walked away never to return! The product smelled like minced chicken but was pretty white in color upon opening the can. Even tried mixing it with their favs but still wouldn’t go near it. Oh well guess I’ll stick to their normal Tiki Cat Shreds and the Instinct, 10 cans wasted.
My cat is finicky with food, but he loves this! I also notice that it tends not to dry out as fast if left out for a while.
Our kitten LOVES this one. She doesn’t like shredded chicken nearly as much as this wet food, and I love that it’s healthy and clean for her <3
My cat Smokey has eaten and enjoyed chicken canned food (and dry) in the past but would not touch this. Four other cats also disapproved. Smokey loves the fishy flavors of Tiki. It's on it's way to a cat shelter, hopefully someone there will enjoy it.
My mainecoon loves this food. She is still a kitten and loves this brand of wet and dry food!
They weren't very interested in it to begin with and then after eating a small amount, all three had diarrhea for the next day and obviously weren't feeling great. I know new foods can upset their tummies, but I have given them the chicken with quail egg wet food from TikiCat before and they were fine. For some reason this was just... bad. Maybe there's something up with this kind and that's why other reviewers cats wouldn't touch it, I don't know. I'm a big fan of tiki's products in general, but it's definitely a no on this one.
Every Tiki product I have tried is excellent. My cats devour every variety as if it’s dessert. I have never had any problems with this brand. Quality control is perfect. Although this particular product is not exactly a pate, it is so finely chopped that it basically is. Bonus - if you have a diabetic cat, almost every flavor is either zero or very low carb. Have been using this product for over ten years and with 11 different cats, each cat loved it. I highly recommend and so do many cat websites.
My cat loves this cat food very much. My cat is 17 years old, very picky . THIS he loves
My cats turned up their pink noses at this. They love pate so I tried, what I thought would be a pate treat, this 1. it is not what you'd consider a pate and 2. no one will eat it. The consistency is of somewhat minced chicken in a little broth but not what the cats consider to be a pate and not what they will eat. I'll donate to a shelter.
My senior cat loves this. I give her about 1/4 of the can (she doesn’t eat much in one sitting) and add some cat-safe chicken bone broth to give it a soupy texture.
