The pouches are BPA NI but not recyclable. Each pouch consists of four layers of different material including: PET, Aluminum, Nylon, CPP. The pouches are laminated together, each material on their own is considered recyclable. When they are bonded together the pouch is very difficult to separate, and therefore very difficult to recycle. This is why we consider them non-recyclable.

why do you have to put vitamin k3 in velvet mousse chicken

Vitamin K is an essential nutrient for cats, plays an important role in blood clotting and was added to Tiki cat diets. Chicken contains naturally occurring Vitamin K at levels that support health in kittens and adult cats so supplemental sources are not required.

Bummer

My cat is picky. Tiki Cat is one he likes. We were giving him a packet at night but decided to swap out his crunchies at breakfast for more Tiki Cat so he’d get

My cat is picky. Tiki Cat is one he likes. We were giving him a packet at night but decided to swap out his crunchies at breakfast for more Tiki Cat so he’d get more moisture from food. Within a week, his fur got rough and he was licking himself uncontrollably like his skin was itchy, which led to hairballs everywhere. Then, literal clumps of fur started to fall out of him. I stopped feeding him the TikiCat and switched him back to Science Diet. It’s been a week and things are completely better. His fur is soft, no over grooming, no new bald spots, no new fur balls, no scratching. I realize this is likely a cat problem vs a product problem but it really freaks me out that he responded so poorly to this food. Not sure if the formula has changed recently or what but I won’t be buying it again.

My cat has cancer on her tongue. I had to find an extremely soft wet food she could eat easily. I found it with the Tiki Cat velvet. When I opened the first pouch I was excited to find the perfect texture for her and it smelled so good to boot. I highly recommend this food for healthy cats as well as cats with mouth problems.

The spot on the plate where the Tiki Cat food was is licked clean! I feel like it is a great value because they always eat it and I am not just dumping it in the trash like some of the other brands.

Smelled Devine-hated by all

I was so hopeful when I read the reviews. I was looking for something like churu but with, you know, some actual health benefits and calories. I knew it was a gamble

I was so hopeful when I read the reviews. I was looking for something like churu but with, you know, some actual health benefits and calories. I knew it was a gamble with my older, very picky girl. She turns her nose up at anything with even a hint of healthy. But, I had assumed if she wouldn’t eat it then the household vacuum of a cat would. The cat who eats everything did not want to eat it. I’m honestly confused and alarmed by that, but it is what it is I guess. I’m pretty bummed, as it was a decent chunk of money on something well rated, that smells good, and the ingredients listed are good. But, well. Cats.

A Literal Life Saver

My sweet Oliver was diagnosed with Mouth Cancer with a tumor going under his tongue and along one side of his jaw. This made it uncomfortable to lick/chew and he

My sweet Oliver was diagnosed with Mouth Cancer with a tumor going under his tongue and along one side of his jaw. This made it uncomfortable to lick/chew and he was rapidly losing weight despite being hungry and trying to eat. I switched to this product for syringe feeding and he loves it. He just sits there and puts the syringe in his mouth over and over until he's full, sometimes with 3-4 pouches at a time. We don't have long left together, but without this food our time would have been even shorter. It has helped him get the nutrients and hydration he needs to be comfortable for a little more snuggle time.
