is this okay for rats? I've never used a sand bath for mine since he won't let me clean him, but I'm not sure if he'll like it

This product is not suitable for rats. Other small animals in the wild take frequent dust baths to help absorb skin oils and dirt from their fur to keep their coats clean and healthy. Rats, on the other hand, do not take dust baths and it is not part of the natural behavior. If a dust bath was provided to a rat, it would not know how to use it.
