Questions & Answers

Is the texture of these specific tennis balls abrasive in any way to a dog's teeth like typical tennis balls ?
Answer by ChewyMar 13, 2018
Though the Tourna Pressureless Tennis Balls Dog Toy are very similar to regulation tennis balls, they're made specifically with dogs in mind. They contain no toxic materials for your dog and their teeth.

Where are they made at I try my best to by USA
Answer by ChewyApr 17, 2018
This product is made in China.

Do these tennis balls stand up to an aggressive chewer like my Labrador 6 month old puppy?
Answer by ChewyMar 08, 2019
The extra-durable felt is engineered to be long-lasting and stand up to rough canine play; it even keeps bouncing if they puncture it with a tooth. However, this was created especially for paw-some games of fetch and not designed to be a chew toy.

Are the balls super hard or semi soft?
Answer by ChewyApr 20, 2019
These pressureless tennis balls do not have a hollow core and are solid. Pressureless balls gain bounce when used as the felt wears away and the rubber softens.

A better tennis ball

These tennis balls are a lot tougher than the regular ones. They last a lot longer. We have a German Shepard and she can breaj a normal tennis ball in 5 mins. The ball will still bounce even when theeth puncture it.

Great for ball fanatics

I purchased this bag of tennis balls to use in a homemade treat puzzle for my border collie puppy. I place a few pieces of dog food kibble in a regular size muffin tin and put a tennis ball in each muffin compartment. My pup smells the kibble and has to move the balls to get to the kibble. She's small so grabbing the ball with her mouth isn't easy...she'll roll the balls off the tin with her paws and it actually takes a while before she's got the whole thing excavated. Tons of fun. I like that these come with a bag to store them in.

Great quality for its money!

We order these periodically for our labs. We always seem to have one that carries a ball around the whole time they are outside. These work great and we always have new ones to grab! Will reorder when current bag is gone.

Terrible balls

I purchased these since they were supposed to be durable and sturdy and hard to break. My black lab (who I do not allow to chew the balls) has broken several of them just from retrieving them. Would not recommend

Great bounce, good visibility

Balls are on the firmer side, and have a tight weave to the flocking compared to our other tennis balls. They bounce very well; 'grounder' throws have a 40 to 50 ft travel distance after landing. The tight flocking doesn't seem to pick up as much dirt compared to the other balls, so the color stays bright. This helps both me and my lab find the balls when playing at sunrise or sunset.

Balls, balls everywhere!

Fun to play catch with. If you have an aggressive chewer these balls will snap! We just threw them away once he suscessfully snapped a ball. (He’s a loveable jerk).

Enrichment Games

These inexpensive balls are great for all our indoor (and outdoor) DIY enrichment games - topping the muffin tins with treats in each cup, playing a quiet, close in game of catch and reinforcing putting the ball “in my hand,” playing “find it,” the list goes on. We have outdoor balls as well - I prefer having 2 sets to help us leave as much of the yard outside where it bengs as possible. When the outdoor set starts to dwindle, a few of the indoor ones cycle out. Having that net bag for storage is an added plus!

Do not waist your Money

My small Goldendoodle-30lbs had destroyed all of them within 6 days of Christmas. He would retrieve a couple of times then chew and I could hear the pop. They popped on the seams. The inside was almost like a thin cardboard with rubber.

Weak useless balls!

These balls are not even strong enough for one session of dog play. My two medium sized 45 lb furry friends collapse these balls after only a few throws.

Doberman goes sky high

Our 110 lb. 1 year old doberman loves to catch balls on the bounce and these bounce great. He gets a thrill out of flying and catching balls about 6 to 7 feet in the air and these bounce that well and so far have not deteriorated as do most tennis balls we have purchased . Gets a 9.5 out of 10 here
