Stands up to heavy chewing!

For a plush toy this is very durable, but not indestructible. My dog is very hard on plush toys and will find any vulnerability to exploit. This has held up fairly well although he did manage to tear into one of the seams. This is no fault of the manufacturer, they stitched the seams 7 times which prevented total destruction. I enjoy using this for fetch and tugging but would not leave my dog alone with it.

We thought it would be more sturdy, but Labradors are avid chewers.

Our Lab puppy loves it; she quickly learned to squeak it and loves chewing on it. However, she is pulling the black trim off it and eating it.

Truly tough!

Almost as tough as the older Tuffy's, ..still a great toy!

We've owned Tuffy Toys for years, but, found the new ones/versions, especially the black sew on trim, aren't quite as tough as they used to be. Not to say these

We've owned Tuffy Toys for years, but, found the new ones/versions, especially the black sew on trim, aren't quite as tough as they used to be. Not to say these toys won't hold up to power chewers for a fair amount of usage, but, we feel the trim on the toy can rip off easier and sooner than the older version of this toy. It might be changes in material and sources currently used. As this toy gets used and torn more, be careful to toss out the small pieces of fabric that come off it as well as the plastic squeakers inside that are removed over time, as they could be a choke hazard for some dogs, especially puppies.

Tuffy's are tough - but not quite tough enough for my Pittie

This is the 3rd Tuffy's toy I have bought for my various Pitties over the years (we are on our 5th of this breed). These toys do last longer than "standard" plushie

This is the 3rd Tuffy's toy I have bought for my various Pitties over the years (we are on our 5th of this breed). These toys do last longer than "standard" plushie toys. However, within 10 days of receipt our girl had already breached the exterior of this bone & begun the arduous process of de-stuffing it. She strategically went in at the seam of the edging, tore that away, made a hole in the fabric & started disemboweling. If Tuffy's could come up with a better way to secure the edging so it had no exposed end that the dog could worry at, then this would be a 5.
