He brings them to bed, tosses them around and will play fetch with them. I hate how they start coming apart though. I really dont want him to eat the tinsel, so I try to monitor the condition of the ball. I also got some felted balls to see if he'd make a switch, but for now, these are the best toy in his mind.

There is no way this is safe - don’t buy!

Had to throw away all 4 pompoms within minutes of opening the package. All of the little plastic glitter strands immediately started coming out into my kittens

Had to throw away all 4 pompoms within minutes of opening the package. All of the little plastic glitter strands immediately started coming out into my kittens mouth and nose!!! I can remove them from the pompoms with two fingers, they don’t stand a chance against my kitten. These are an intestinal blockage or suffocation waiting to happen

My cat is OBSESSED with these sparkle balls but unfortunately they are not safe for them to play with. The glitter comes out easily and as he chewed on them he ended up swallowing a bunch of the glitter strands and then throwing them up like crazy. We threw them all away even though they were his favorite. If you have these please keep a close eye on your cat when they’re out!

My kitties love these glitter balls, they carry them around the house and toss them around while playing with them. One of my two kitties likes to leave them in the water fountain. I recently got a new, stainless steel water fountain and one of the kitties left a purple glitter ball in the fountain. There must have been a lot of dye in that glitter ball because the water in the fountain turned purple and the floor protector under the fountain turned purple in the spot where the glitter ball was deposited after it was removed. I'm glad I didn't put the glitter ball directly on the floor. Previous glitter balls probably were dying the water in the fountain, but it wasn't something we noticed. I hope that this dye incident was isolated because I'd hate for my kitties to be ingesting dye while playing with some of their favorite toys.

PLEASE, don't buy these pom pom craft balls of any kind from any source for your pets. I made this mistake and it cost us 10 thousand dollars in vet bills from 2 foreign body surgeries. The sparkly ends lodged into his intestines and he had to have a resection, 2 inches of intestines removed and a brutal recovery with complications. It makes me so angry that pet retailers still sell these and place them on all kinds of cat toys. They are so dangerous.
