Taking care of your dog’s overall health starts by feeding him properly. We suggest using this chart as a guide. Adjust amounts accordingly over time. Please remember these portions are averages and will vary according to age, activity, size and temperament of your Adult dog. Pregnant and lactating female dogs will require 2 - 3 times as much food as Adult feeding guidelines shown.
Puppies start to eat solid foods at 3 - 4 weeks of age and should have free access to solid food from this time until weaning. You may keep PRO PAC® Ultimates™ Bayside Select™ before your puppy at all times; most puppies will satisfy their nutritional needs as their appetite dictates. When switching to a new food, gradually increase the new food and decrease the old food over a 7 - 10 day period of time until your pet is completely eating PRO PAC® Ultimates™ Bayside Select™.
On days 1 & 2 of the change, you should have plenty of your pet's old food left. Fill the bowl with 3 quarters of the old food, and one quarter of SPORTMiX. On days 3 & 4, add in another quarter, so you have half old food, half SPORTMiX. On days 5 & 6, mix one quarter old food and 3 quarters SPORTMiX. In only 7 days, your pet will be on an all-new diet of SPORTMiX.

My girl is picky - it took me 18 different foods before I found this one, and she actually eats it!! I’ve tried everything, and I was so thrilled she found something she liked. Her coat is great, her nails are healthy, and I barely supplement anything else anymore because this food just gets it done. The added taurine for ease of mind with grain free food is another plus. I used to buy this locally, but I moved and can’t do that anymore, so I got it through Chewy. Not only is the auto ship easy and convenient, but the customer service is top of the line. There was an issue with my order, they sent an email about it and when I called there was literally no wait time, the woman was incredibly kind and asked me questions about my dog, and helped me quickly and efficiently. This is similar to all other experiences I’ve had with Chewy. Fabulous service, fabulous food! Picture of my dog for reference just because I love showing her off.
I bought this to replace the ProPac Bayside select since it is no longer sold ( I believe it's discontinued) 3 of my chihuahuas loved that one . This one they do not ..it looks similar to me, but must not taste /smell the same to them. I only bought the small bag to try out and I won't be purchasing the larger . I'm on the hunt for a replacement still
First off - We did not buy our most recent bag of this food from Chewy. I purchased a 28 pound bag locally and noticed within a few weeks oil seeping out of the bag and pooling on the floor. After about 3 weeks on this food my dog became sick. Nothing else in his diet changed. Has anyone else had a pet get sick after eating this food? The expiration date was either Aug/Sept of 2023?
Great food if your dog has a chicken allergy..I have just started using it and she seems to be getting better. I just wish you could get a 40lb bag and it was not so pricey.
I have 5 dogs and way too many cats. I depend on Chewy for pet foods to be fresh. I have found difference, frequently, on varying freshness, in my pet food purchases. All Chewy does are PETS. Even the largest of store chains, I have found, must let those bags of pet food set, in their warehouses. They are not as fresh. I have found differences in color and the dogs certainly have found a difference in taste. That amounts to a difference in freshness. Chewy is it, for me!
been loyal to buying this for years. I do not like how the packaging leaks fishy juice a huge reason I would consider another brand.
My Willie loved this brand. I only bought the smaller bag because he doesn't eat that much. It kept good and I like FRESH so I ordered it more often rather than get the big bag. WHY did they discontinue the smaller bags? I'm not sure if Willie would like fish. I know cats like fish. And this is the only smaller bag available now.
We have dealt with allergy, digestion & weight issues raising 5 beagle girls, switched to ProPac couple years back & they are doing wonderful. Shiny coats & healthy poo’s!!!! Good bills of health at the vet also!
My 60lb Lab X has been eating this food for years. She has a very sensitive stomach, and this was literally the one food we found that her stomach could tolerate (without having to put her on prescription food). She has always happily eaten this food, until recently. The company had a recall. None of the bags we received were affected. But following the recall, we noticed a change in the appearance of the food. It used to be fairly greasy (which I attributed to being a food based from fish). Since then it has been very dry, more like a regular dog food. My dog’s coat is not looking as nice, and she has started to refuse to eat her food. I reached out to ProPac and to Chewy to see if there was a formula change, but neither company responded to my question. So it’s still unclear to me if there was. We have stopped feeding her this food, and have switched her to a new brand that is also white fish based, and she is happily eating that without any issues.
My pup loves this food and so do all the dogs who visit. Unfortunately, the bag was slit multiple times and most of the food was in the box upon arrival. Gotta be careful with those box cutters! Never had something like that happen with Chewy before, so I'll give it another shot.
