Key Benefits
  • Silica gel cat litter offers maximum odor control.
  • Absorbent micro crystals work fast to control moisture.

  • Ultra-fine crystals are 70% lighter than most clay crystals.
  • Sand-like consistency is super soft on cats’ paws.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Transition Instructions

As with any new cat litter it is very important to introduce it gradually. Cats are not excited about litter changes so whenever introducing any new cat litter it is recommended that you incorporate some portion of the old litter to encourage cat’s trial. It may even be best to incorporate some clumps of waste or used litter from the currently used box during the first couple days. A 50% new on bottom / 50% old on top mix best for the first month gradually stirring the litters to mix and let the cat get used to the texture and sounds of the new litter. By the time you get to the start of month 2 the silica gel litter should be the only litter in the box with complete cat acceptance. You may also find it helpful to place the cat in the box after changing to pearls and comfort them into trying the texture and sound. Pearls may have more sound as they shift as the cat walks.

    Yes and no

I am looking for a litter that my 4 fur babies will use. One has asthma and the vet suggested switching from clay litter. So, I ordered several non-clay options. This litter has a no discerning aroma, and is as dustless as I have ever seen. This litter does clump, but the clumps from urine adhere to the bottom of the pan, making scooping difficult. I find myself chiseling the hardened clumps, the pieces of which fall through the scooper, leaving more waste in the pan than desired. It controls odor well and the cats - at least some of them have been using it - for urinating only - no poop. We have loved it for YEARS

    By on

I initially bought this litter because of my long hair cats. This litter solved the stuck to the paws and tracking through the house issues we had with other litters. It also handles my cat Bamboo's high volume tinkles. He prefers to go potty outside, and will hold it until forced to do his business in the box, making for big clumps! However this litter dries it right up and produces super firm clumps. Some other users complained about it sticking to the pan, but if you fill it deep enough, that doesn't happen as frequent. It has low to no dust. I love that the bags are small so I can easily carry them, store them in tight places, and my delivery guy doesn't have to put his back out. Some other reviewers also "poo-pooed" the scent control. I haven't ever had an issue with bad smells, unless my kitty has an upset tummy from human food. I do use a anti-tracking mat under the box, and recently added a "spill reservoir" for my kittens who feel the need to dig to the bottom tossing it over the side. Hopefully they outgrow that, but until then I have solved the problem. … more

    Stuck to Litterbox

    By on

We tried this litter because some reviews said it had good odor control and clumped well. I should’ve listened when others said it would stick to the box. I have to spend time scraping the hardened clumps from the bottom of the box and the stuff that remains smells pretty bad. The odor control for us was pretty non-existent. Perhaps it just doesn’t work well for multi-cat households, but I would not recommend this litter for people who can’t spend time scraping the box every time.

    Not 100% what I expected

    By on

I bought this as an alternative to a name brand that I bought at a big box store. It looks the same, but it does not perform the same. Clumping is a longer process and my cats like their box scooped immediately. Also, the odor control is no where close to the name brand, sadly :( Still, it's better than any litter I've tried outside of the name brand, and I'd rather give my money to Chewy over another company, so I will see if there is some odor blocking product I can add to this. My girls love the texture of this litter.

    What's happening?

    By on

This order ( #318531013) is late due to "problem" in shipping. As a result the whole process was started over. This is cat litter we're talking about here! Second shipping should have been expedited! Credit should have been put on account for my patience and having to go somewhere else and buy more litter! Where's that speedy and helpful customer service chewy has always had? Might think twice about buying here again. Lara Hilton

    Not so great.

    By on

I like the way it dries out the poop and absorbs orders but this litter sticks to the box. Also it either doesn’t clump well or clumps hard and sticks to the box. The company’s suggestion to scoop twice a week is stupid. A litter box should be scooped at least twice a day no matter what litter you use.

    Cats like but....

    By on

Unfortunately this turns into solid crystal formations at the bottom of the litter box. My cats like the small crystals but it’s not worth having to toss the box or spending a lot of time breaking away the formations.

    The best cat litter ever

    By on

The best litter I have ever used. Will use it as long as they continue to manufacture it. The silicone combined with the clumping feature is THE BEST. Worth every penny.

    Nice change

I especially appreciate that this silica-based formula is much more environmentally friendly than the strip-mined clay formulas.

    Not what I hoped.

    By on

It clumps fine, however it sticks to the bottom of the box and makes daily cleaning a pain. The dust is a very fine powder, so no breathing while cleaning. The 2 stars are for the no smell.
