Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Transition Instructions

As with any new cat litter it is very important to introduce it gradually. Cats are not excited about litter changes so whenever introducing any new cat litter it is recommended that you incorporate some portion of the old litter to encourage cat’s trial. It may even be best to incorporate some clumps of waste or used litter from the currently used box during the first couple days. A 50% new on bottom / 50% old on top mix best for the first month gradually stirring the litters to mix and let the cat get used to the texture and sounds of the new litter. By the time you get to the start of month 2 the silica gel litter should be the only litter in the box with complete cat acceptance. You may also find it helpful to place the cat in the box after changing to pearls and comfort them into trying the texture and sound. Pearls may have more sound as they shift as the cat walks.

    It's like Disney Magic!

By BillandTedsMom on Feb 4, 2021

Bill and Ted love, love this stuff! (I do too because there is NO smell and the box is right in my office) It's all sparkly white with flecks of color. It's like sparkly disney magic around cinderella when she gets her dress. — I have some environmental impact questions about it. (it's so hard with litter) ... how it's made? is it eventually biodegradable? Also It is NOT going to last a month on one bag. No way. That said... I want to order more.

    Good product for the price

By Evilneva on Jan 20, 2021

This litter is true to its word. There is minimal dust, it clumps quickly to trap in any unpleasant odors and its easy to scoop. My kittens paws are still soft and she seems to enjoy it more than previous 'harder' litters that we've used. I have added it on to my autoship and feel relieved to have found something that works for us at a fair cost.

    Worst litter I've ever purchased

By Kasee on Dec 14, 2020

I am absolutely appalled that Chewy would even sell something like this. Everything I've gotten from Chewy previously has been great, but this litter is horrible. I went to visit my family for a week leaving my 2 cats with my roommate. I have two automatic litter boxes, they both use their own. I came back and was changing the litter after a week, the bag says 1 cat 1 month, but I noticed a smell as soon as I came home. This litter was clumped hard on the bottom of the pans, I couldn't even scrape them out. It is like cement, yellow, pee stained and stinky cement. I have them soaking right now to see if I can get it cleaned, but it's not looking good. After one week. I bought 4 bags of these with my auto shipment, so I still have 2 I have to use because I have nothing else to put in the box until tomorrow. … more

Ultra Unscented Clumping Crystal Litter is Awful Litter!

By DaisynDeb on Feb 15, 2021

I agree with Kasee's review. This litter doesn't measure up to is description! Doesn't last a month, starts smelling like urine within a week, and doesn't clump right! I won't recommend this product and won't purchase ever again!

    Don't waste your money

By AngZ on Dec 8, 2020

I was looking for an alternative to the clumping clay based litter because of the dust it makes. I have two older male cats and both of them urinate frequently. I decided to try this. I first began adding it to their existing litter to get them used to it. After a month, I emptied and cleaned their box and just added this litter. The next morning I walk down the basement, where their box is, to the unmistakable odor of a diaper pail. I had to immediately clean the box and discovered one of my cats urinated outside the box in protest. Also, this is not dust free as I thought it would be. I had to make an emergency Chewy order to go back to the clay based clumping litter I previously used I was looking for an alternative to the clumping clay based litter because of the dust it makes. Surprisingly good

By JamCat on Dec 6, 2020

My regular brand of lightweight litter got discontinued. I was excited to find out that clumping crystal litter exists but unsure how my cats (8 of them) would react, since they refuse to use pellets, large crystals, or that sawdusty stuff. They love this litter! Even my “out of the box” thinker is using this happily. The decrease in smell is quite noticeable, too. It’s humid here and the clay litter tends to get soggy but that’s not been a problem with this stuff. My only “con” is the dust. I have to wear a mask when I scoop the box. But hey, I’ve gotten used to masks anyway! Overall I’m quite pleased.

    Non clay litter

By Kimberly on Feb 17, 2021

My cat and her box are in my bedroom and the clay litter was seriously effecting my ability to breathe. This clumping non clay litter makes a world of difference. I can breathe again.

    Clean Paws & Feet

By CatServant on Dec 12, 2020

After 16 yrs of rotating through litter types (clay, pellet, walnut, millet, pine, newspaper) thought whats one more to try. I vacuum and scrub my floors weekly this Litter has the least tracking, my bare feet are no longer black from the litter tracking and dust residue. I can vacuum this litter too without concern of it ruining my vacuum. Most importantly my Senior cat doesn’t sneezing while digging and hiding her BM. (Which tells me it’s gentle on her respiratory system)

    Biggest bummer ever

By Kate on Oct 28, 2020

I was looking for a light weight, dust free and clumping litter. The description seemed to hit all the marks so I ordered three bags. (I have two cats) Boy was I wrong. There is still tons of dust, it barely clumps and the SMELL, dear lord. It doesn't even smell like regular liter box. It absolutely terrible. It barely covers any smell, and what smell it does cover gives off this terrible acidic waft of fumes. The clumps of urine just break apart when you scoop it, and since it does’t cover up smell well, you just get hit with this giant, stale urine smell bomb. And tons of dust gets released when I scoop. That was also very upsetting. It makes me concerned about what me and my kitties are breathing I was looking for a light weight, dust free and clumping litter. By PattyPP on Feb 20, 2021

I have the litter robot and have tried many clump long litter types. This is the first one that completely eliminates the odor!
