Found corn in it

If your horse has laminitis, insulin resistance, or has foundered, do not feed this to your horse. My horse was getting better after his first laminitis event

If your horse has laminitis, insulin resistance, or has foundered, do not feed this to your horse. My horse was getting better after his first laminitis event. It was scary. And looking for a pellet to feed him to help balance his metabolic issues and insulin, I came across this . After feeding it to him for four days, his laminitis came back raging. There is something in the supplement as I was looking at the bag, started finding pieces of corn in it. Like a few whole pieces. I have no idea if it is actually in the pellet or not as it’s mixed grinded little mystery pellet. Do not feed this. It’s costly garbage, it could cost your horse his/her life!

The pellets have an odd smell to them. I mixed the amount of pellets into their food as the package directed and two of the horses wanted nothing to do with their food and left it. The ingredients are good and the majority of reviews are positive on this product, but if the horse won't eat the pellets, the product is of no use to my horses. My rating only reflects my experience with the two horses that would not eat their food due to the addition of this product.

Very Pleased!

I have a Cushing's mini mare and a metabolic mini mule who were both going through a bout of laminitis. They had been on a magnesium powder supplement for years,

I have a Cushing's mini mare and a metabolic mini mule who were both going through a bout of laminitis. They had been on a magnesium powder supplement for years, but both decided they would not eat it any longer so I tried the Ultra Cruz Metabolic Support pellets. Both my mare and my mule gobble up the pellets and they lick their bowls afterwards. After approximately two months on this product, along with diet management, both of my friends have greatly improved to the point they are no longer on pain medication. Their condition is now stable and they are comfortable. I'm very pleased with this product and would recommend it highly as part of a diet for a metabolic or Cushing's animal suffering from laminitis.
